Terracotta Warriors are definitely worth the trip to Xi'an and having a private tour guide made this a very easy, flexible experience. We were staying in the southern part of town Westin and so had quite the drive out to see the statues, which are pretty much exactly where they've always been...just now with a museum around them. One of the farmers who originally discovered them is still alive and on-site many days...you can meet him and get the official coffee table book autographed by him. Pictures don't quite capture the grandeur and scale of the warriors, must see in person.
