Itinerary: City Wall→Lunch at a local farmer’s home→Terracotta Army→Muslim Quarter

Morning:

Hotel or your appointed place pickup commence at around 8:30am to 9:00am. Visit the ancient City Wall, which represents one of the oldest, largest, and best preserved Chinese city walls. It was built in the Ming Dynasty as a military defense system and it exhibits the complete features of the rampart architecture of feudal society. Opt to cycle atop the ancient city walls overlooking the life of the city.

Noon:

Have an included family lunch at a local farmer’s home.

Afternoon:

Continue to visit the site of the Terracotta Army, an archaeological treasure where approximately 8,000 soldiers and hundreds of horses stand on guard in three excavated pits in an on-site museum. Learn how the underground warriors were discovered (by accident) in 1974, and why Emperor Qin Shihuang commissioned the statues to serve as his army in the afterlife.

Evening:

Take an orientation walk of the bustling bazaar at Muslim Quarter. After the Muslim quarter, you will be driven back to the hotel, train station, airport or somewhere as you required. Then your pleasant one day tour comes to the end.

My two boys and I absolutely loved this tour. Having a tour guide explain one on one the history and meaning behind what you are looking at is worth every dollar. Our guide and driver were amazing, our guides passion for Xi'an and the local history just made it all the more interesting. Rosemary was so nice and we felt so comfortable with her that she really felt like a friend at the end of the day. I would highly recommend this tour.

A very complete and thorough overview of the Qin dynasty legacy. What a great your, I definitively recommend this visit. Even though most people visit Xi'an just for the Terracota Warriors, it has a lot to offer. We changed the schedule so we could give rain a chance to move away, as per recommendation from our tour guide, Ning Jerry, and it proved the best strategy. We did not get wet, and we are able to complete everything we wanted. By the end of the day, they dropped us at the Bell tower, and we still wandered through the Muslim Quarter, per his recommendation. He spoke perfect English, and is a very likeable person. We had a great day!
