Chichén Itzá - Gita di un giorno con visita a un cenote e pranzo da Tulum

Chichen Itza is defiantly a must see its best if you have a local guild like we had, you here a lot more truths and its great to get a more accurate account for the site not the company line. we spent the afternoon on google confirming his info very interesting stuff. The cenote was not the best in the area and just a tourist trap with a sales pitch. However our guild pointed out a small one that we sneaked off to and it a was beautiful picture perfect spot. The food was bland and cheep buffet food if it wasn't for the long drive back i would say skip this but as there is nothing else around you are limited on where to go.

Great day trip to Chichen Itza! Could have used more than 40 minutes at the Cenote way too rushed. Shopping after lunch felt pressured and too much time allowed.

This day trip was amazing! We had just the right amount of time at every location: cenote, lunch, Chichen Itza, and Villadolid. Our tour guide Martin went above and beyond! He truly spoke from his heart when talking about the Mayan people.It was a long drive, however Martin was super knowledgeable and shared a ton of stories throughout the tour. 100 recommend this to everyone!

Okay, the ruins and the Cenote were very cool, buuuuuut. We were picked up at 7am, driven an hour or so north to pick up more people, totally get this then driven and hour or so inland, also get this. Here is where my frustration comes in. We were taken to a place, read tourist trap that was disguised as the artisan market....this was NOT listed as part of the trip. We were left for 30-45 minutes to wander through a large room with a lot of sales people trying to get us to buy things obviously worked on commission. Then we were taken for lunch. This was another building that was across the parking lot from the shop. The lunch was in a cafeteria where we served ourselves buffet style, also fine but there were tip jars on all of the tables, and plenty of staff running around reminding you that they were there. The food was okay, but certainly nothing to write home about. I would have rather eaten some tacos from a roadside stand. Then back on the bus and on our way to Chichen Itza. We got there about 1pm, the hottest part of the day, and a full SIX hours after pick up, travel distance is only about 90 mins from point of origin. The ruins were amazing, and our guide was great. He was very knowledgable, friendly, and funny. We had a good amount of time there, and information given about the ruins, as well as about 40 mins of time to wander on our own. From there we went to the cenote, this was mildly disappointing as we only had an hour from the time we got off of the bus to the time they wanted us back. That's an hour to get in, wait in line to rent a locker, change, shower before getting in, then join the large amount of people trying to enjoy the same water. Imagine a really cool looking public pool and you're there. Then out change back and get to the bus. We were dropped back off about 11 hours later. A whole day of our vacation taken to spend maybe three total doing and seeing what we wanted. The ONLY reason I would recommend this tour would be if you aren't planning to rent a car, the cost for transportation is reasonable. That being said, rent a car! If I ever go back I would 100 rent a car. The roads are well maintained and appeared easy to navigate.

They claim they pick you up at your hotel but this is not true - I ended up not going because they designated a separate area, and the van already left by the time I called the company to figure it out. I would recommend Mexico Kan Tours if you’re planning any trips in Riviera Maya.

I would suggest calling the phone number given to confirm a specific pick up time and place. The tour reps gave us reliable information and we showed up at our pick-up time and place. We were picked up right on time! I appreciate that. We made a stop at a resort in Playa Del Carmen and then we picked up our tour guide off the road. That was weird but it's whatever. We went to a convenience store before heading into Valladolid for a 20 minute walk-around the colonial city. This tour makes a stop at another location we were not aware would happen but the tour guide was informative throughout so we weren't surprised when we'd make a stop. Chichen Itza was beautiful! We did 20 minutes of exploring/taking pictures, then our tour guide walked us through the history for 45 minutes, and then he gave us another 45 minutes to explore some more. And then afterwards we went to Ik Kil cenote. 30 pesos for a locker, 30 pesos for a life vest. I wish we had more time at Ik Kil but only had 45 minutes. The lunch was after all the activities and we were starving as it was close to 3pm by the time we ate our lunch. Overall a great tour!
