Chanko Nabe (stufato) con dimostrazione di sumo
Non è possibile vivere questa esperienza in nessun altro luogo! La struttura apre alle 11:45 e la dimostrazione di sumo inizia alle 12:00. Il pranzo con Chanko Nabe inizia alle 12:50. Il programma termina alle 14:00, ma è possibile lasciare il ristorante in qualsiasi momento prima delle 14:00.
Dimostrazione di sumo
Ascolterai la storia del sumo e alcune brevi spiegazioni in inglese su regole, allenamenti e molto altro. Riceverai anche una breve descrizione delle azioni fondamentali da due ex lottatori. Inoltre, ti verranno presentate alcune tecniche, comprese le tecniche proibite, e quindi assisterai a tre incontri reali. Potrai infine lanciarti in una prova di sumo con i lottatori (agli ospiti verrà fornito un costume) e farai una foto ricordo insieme a loro!

Torre Sky Tree:
La torre Sky Tree è il più alto edificio di Tokyo.
Se scegli di prenotare questa opzione (a un costo aggiuntivo), riceverai un biglietto elettronico. Si prega di mostrare il biglietto elettronico al 4° piano dello Sky Tree (al negozio Soramachi). Riceverai un biglietto cartaceo che ti permetterà di prendere l'ascensore che conduce a 350 metri da terra.
Indicazioni stradali dal ristorante alla torre Sky Tree:
Esci dal ristorante, gira a destra e vai dritto fino alla via Kaminarimon.
Gira a sinistra nella via Kaminarimon e continua finché non vedi il ponte (attraverserai l'enorme cancello rosso Kaminarimon).
Prendi la linea della metropolitana Asakusa dalla stazione di Asakusa e scendi alla stazione di Oshiage (solo 3 minuti).
Quindi, vai al 4° piano e fatti sostituire il biglietto elettronico con un biglietto cartaceo.

As a 2 year sumo fanatic and SHW bencher, it was so much fun to go belly to belly with these jolly showmen. I got a severe rug burn on the ball of my foot, but it was worth it. They did a great job entertaining us.
We had a fun time at the Sumo Lunch and Demonstration tour. The staff at the restaurant were welcoming and very helpful. The Sumo wrestlers were funny and posed for pictures with everyone in the audience. If you have children they would really enjoy this and would have an opportunity to wrestle with one of the Sumo wrestlers.
They gave a brief but good background description of sumo, from origin to present. The ex-sumo wrestlers put up an entertaining show that was both educational and fun. They allowed whoever who wanted to, to try their hand at wrestling them while wearing a fun fat suit. They also gave us time to ask questions at the end, although we did run out of time at the end. The only thing that was meh was the food, although since it was my first time eating chanko, I can't tell whether it was supposed to be bland or it just didn't suit my taste.
We wanted to see Sumo during our trip to Japan but were not sufficiently into the sport to want to sit through a serious competition. This experience was ideal. We were given a demonstration by two retired sumo wrestlers who showed us training exercises, winning moves, foul moves and then had three serious bouts. There was an exceptionally enthusiastic and well-informed compère who explained everything as we went along. In addition, the venue ran video of competitive matches to give us a feel for the real thing. There was lots of information about the history of sumo and the structure of the sport. Then came the sumo challenge, where members of the audience could put on a ‘fat suit’ and have a light hearted wrestle with the sumo of his/her choice - great fun for kids and adults alike. After the demonstrations we sat down to an ample meal of the sort that a sumo would eat when in training and it was delicious as well as filling. After the meal, one of the sumo came back for a Q and A session, facilitated by our cheerful compère. The whole event was a tremendous success and just the right mix of entertainment and education that we were hoping for. I would strongly recommend this for anyone with even the slightest interest in sumo, looking for a fun introduction to the sport. The organisation and presentation were excellent and of high quality.
A great experience!! The Sumo wrestlers and their emcee were very engaging and enjoyable to watch. The wrestlers made the lunch and it was one of the best meals we had during our visit to Japan. We cannot say enough great things about this! Make the time for it and you will love it!!
Fantastic tour. Appreciated the guide's good English skills and her explanation about the history of Sumo. Even more detail would have been interesting - is sumo rooted in religion? how did it evolve over the years etc. The question answer period was also quite informative and the sumo wrestlers' personalities were entertaining and engaging. Great for kids as well.
One of the best tours i have ever taken. It was a lot of fun and very informative
