Banchetto medievale al Castello di Bunratty
Unisciti al conte di Thomond per un glorioso banchetto in questo maestoso castello di Bunratty del XV secolo. Il maggiordomo del conte accoglierà gli ospiti provenienti dai quattro angoli del mondo brindando a un'era di grande gusto irlandese con cibo eccellente, buon vino e idromele.
All'arrivo al banchetto medievale al castello di Bunratty, uno zampognaro in kilt suonerà una melodia di benvenuto. Salirai i gradini del castello attraversando il ponte levatoio fino al "Bite of Friendship" offerto da una ostessa.
Entrando nella Grande Sala piena di arazzi e mobili del XVI secolo, assapora un calice di idromele mentre ti mescoli alle Dame del Castello. La storia del castello viene raccontata seguendo un madrigale medievale. Assisti all'incoronazione di conte e contessa prima di andare alla sala del ricevimento, dove panche, candele e lunghi tavoli in quercia riflettono lo stile del banchetto di epoca medievale.
Mentre partecipi a una sontuosa cena di quattro portate con vini pregiati, dilettati con i toni deliziosi delle Dame del Castello accompagnati da arpa e violino irlandesi. Il maggiordomo cerca l'approvazione del Lord per tutti i piatti portati al suo cospetto. Tuttavia, viene scoperto un mascalzone che dovrà essere portato davanti al conte che deciderà il suo destino.
Dopo la cena ci sarà uno spettacolo di 35 minuti: una superba selezione di musica irlandese medievale, canti tradizionali e musica strumentale. La serata intera dura due ore e mezza.

We really enjoyed our evening. Fun music, great story line and wonderful performers. The story telling was fun and the food was great. A really lovely evening in an authentic castle. Some difficult stairs up and down, but nothing unmanageable.
We had a very enjoyable time at the Bunratty Castle Medieval Banquet. The mead they served us when they first greeted us was very tasty, the main courses were spare ribs and game hen, the songs they sang sounded authentic, and the actors seemed to be having a good time, which made it fun for everyone!
The entertainment was delightful, the food was good, I'd really love to give it five stars. However, it was extremely cramped. They need to reduce the number of people at each table by at least four and spread the guests out a little. I was sitting so close to both people next to me that I was burning up the whole time. Also, even though I booked the dinner months in advance (in fact, only a few days after the date/time became available, as I had been checking consistently), our seats were terrible. We were way off to the side and sitting facing away from the entertainers. I couldn't turn around to watch very well due to being jammed in there so tightly. It's a shame, because it has the potential to be so good. All they need to do is book a few fewer people and it would be excellent.
The performers were very good and entertained us thoroughly. We had more than enough to eat. The music was enjoyable as well.
Super fun experience. It was a little crammed in the room, I feel like a few less people would have been more enjoyable. Good food, good show.
Lots of fun and I would recommend it to anyone travelling in the area. Food was excellent!
The food was ok and sufficient in qty but the room was too small for the amount of people crammed in their with only one A/C to cool the room. If you were not in the direct path, it was hot and stuffy. We left before dessert was served as it became unbearable.

This was a great opportunity to see the castle and grounds if you can't get there during the day. We also enjoyed the dinner and entertainment
It's like taking a step into the medieval past. Beautiful castle, great entertainment and meal. No visitor to Ireland should bypass this eye opening adventure !!
We were probably a bit sceptical about the banquet, but I have to say the quality of the entertainment was fantastic. The singers were excellent and the food was delicious and plenty of it, and wine!!! I would highly recommend going early to have a look around the folk park before hand.
