Il tour inizia al Tempio del Buddha di Giada. Costruito durante il periodo Guangxu della Dinastia Qing (1875-1909 d.C.), questo tempio conserva un'inestimabile collezione di statue di giada provenienti dalla Birmania. Il tempio fu costruito seguendo il magnifico stile architettonico della Dinastia Song. Attualmente ospita l'Istituto buddista di Shanghai.
La tappa successiva è il mercato delle perle d'acqua dolce. I partecipanti potranno assistere al processo di coltivazione delle perle e qualcuno potrebbe essere il fortunato a cui ne verrà regalata una.
Piazza del Popolo, nel cuore della città, è un'ampia area verde circondata su tutti i lati da grandi edifici. Qui potrai dar da mangiare alle colombe come preghiera per la pace nel mondo. Il Museo di Shanghai è una delle principali attrazioni di questo tour. La progettazione del museo rispetta i principi architettonici del Feng Shui. Ospita una grande collezione permanente e varie esposizioni con oltre 120.000 pezzi che illustrano i 5000 anni di storia della Cina. Si consiglia di noleggiare un'audioguida (5 USD) per sfruttare al meglio la visita di 1 ora e mezza.
Dopo pranzo, si potrà visitare l'incantevole Giardino Yuyuan e la Shanghai Old Street. Il giardino comprende molte sale, fontane e altri edifici di interesse. La visita riporterà i partecipanti indietro fino alla Dinastia Ming (1368-1644 d.C.).
Il tour proseguirà verso il Bund sul lungomare di Shanghai. Il Bund è l'icona più famosa di Shanghai e il simbolo della città vecchia e di quella nuova. Lungo quattro chilometri, questo luogo è da sempre una delle aree più importanti di Shanghai. Nel 1930, il Bund ha ospitato i centri finanziari e commerciali della città.
Presso la fabbrica della seta, si potrà poi osservare come viene prodotta la seta cinese sin dal XIV secolo. Sarà inoltre possibile acquistare la seta a prezzi bassi. Dopo aver attraversato il Quartiere dell'ex Concessione Francese, caratterizzata da bellissimi viali alberati, sarà possibile passeggiare lungo il nuovo quartiere ricco di intrattenimenti di Shanghai, il Xin Tian Di. Gli edifici in mattone, presenti in un'area di soli due isolati, sono stati conservati e trasformati in discoteche di tendenza, ristoranti e boutique alla moda.

Very good This tour is a great option to know about some of the main tourist points of Shanghai. The lunch is included in the package of the tour. I was picked up at the hotel in a car with conditioned air, it guides and driver, and at the end of the tour I had the option of to return to the hotel or to leave in the last point of the tour. This was a good option to know Shanghai faster and with information of the places by the guide.

We had a nice tour of Shanghai - it was very crowded and we had a nice visit to see the sights. Thankfully, the bus was air conditioned as it was quite hot. We saw everything we wished to see as described when we booked.

Excellent pick up, drop off and logistics and timing in comfortable large minibus. Tour guide Frank was very nice. Not super on history and pearl and silk factories were sales oriented but many like that though I more wanted history.

Not sure what was more boring the tour or the tour guide Frank. He never asked our names and did nothing to keep the group together. We actually went the tour early.

Unsatisfactory. I had a bad experience on the river tour with the same guide Frank the night before and I thought it might have been a bad day for him, but on the city tour was the same. always walking alone and did not worry that all the members of the group were with him. he answered the questions impolitely. during the tour he ran out of his mobile phone's battery and could not communicate with the driver so he could find us. We waited alone in a corner while he went to look for the driver through the streets while carrying the cell phone with the external battery of one of the participants. very unprofessional about the places visited, we spent less than an hour in the museum, which was quite large and had many beautiful things to see. the temple was ok, the pearl and silk factory stops, too long and the vendors too insistent almost a waste of time. lunch quite poor. the stop in the garden was the best of the day.

My tour ended up being a private tour, including a guide, driver and lunch. The tour guide was very flexible to what my interests were and how much time I wished to stay at each attraction. I think that receiving a truly private tour may be a bit rare, but as I was in the offseason January, it was great timing. I'd highly recommend!
