1 day

We had a wonderful day on this tour to Lukomir. The drive was longish, but pleasant, with lots to see, beautiful scenery. The ancient village was very interesting, and the locals delightful. I bought a pair of hand knitted socks to take home! The hike was not as easy and relatively flat as our guides indicated it was moderately difficult, ups and downs, a couple parts of the path close to the edge. Be prepared to get a bit sweaty! Lunch was wonderful, and we met some lovely people from all over the world. Great day!

Amazing! This was such a great experience. One of my top ten travel experiences and well worth the 70-80 euros. I recommend Sabina as a tour guide. She was so sociable and incredibly knowledgable about history, culture, and the landscape. Highlight of my trip to Sarajevo!

Beautiful tour into the mountainous regions of Bosnia. We were there just prior to the tourist season, so we almost had a personal tour in a small van rather than a bus. The village is exquisite and charming. Take advantage of the opportunity to wander around and really study the landscape. The guide was great, really knew his stuff and hosted a wonderful picnic lunch. Now, the downside. First, we didn't understand the hike portion of the tour. If we would have taken the planned hike, we would have been on the trail for hours. My wife and I are in our 70s. Now, we still go on hikes, but not ones of several miles in mountainous terrain and at high altitudes. Fortunately, our guide was very accommodating and left us to wander the village while he took the other traveler on a hike to the waterfall. Believe it or not, we were very comfortable with this change of plan. I'm a photography enthusiast and I was able to get hundreds of great photos capturing the charm of the village. Second, don't expect the villagers to be wearing traditional clothing. They wear the same thing you and I wear. The highlights were the village, the scenery, and the enthusiasm of our guide.

This was a wonderful tour, consisting of a drive up past the Olympic skiing areas of Bjelasnica to the remote highland village of Lukomir, with a hike to have a picnic on a bluff near a waterfall with nice views, then time to visit Lukomir itself and the locals. Our guide, Branko, was wonderful, a great driver, friendly, informative, and interesting to talk to, sharing lots of personal experiences and information on the area. He provided a great lunch.

I like this tour so much. It's something different from the other tour as the scenery along the journey is fantastic. Our guide is really informative. We did picnic in the middle of hiking in between the mountains.
