Il tour per piccoli gruppi di Roma e Vaticano inizia al mattino. Incontro con una cordiale guida professionista presso un punto d'incontro designato nell'antica città di Roma. La prima tappa sarà presso il famoso Colosseo, originariamente residenza di violenti gladiatori e prigionieri. Impara a conoscere questa storia unica e poi dirigiti alla Via Sacra fino al Foro Romano, per avere un assaggio della vita durante il regno del dittatore Gaio Giulio Cesare e dell'Imperatore Nerone Claudio Cesare Augusto Germanico. Ascolta la guida che spiega la storia della rapida crescita dell'Impero Romano e del suo declino.

Visita quindi la Fontana di Trevi, recentemente restaurata da Fendi, e il Pantheon, anticamente un tempio pagano e ultimo luogo di riposo di Raffaello Sanzio da Urbino, Vittorio Emanuele II e Umberto I. Fissa l'oculus e ammira il più spettacolare edificio di Roma mentre la guida spiega la sua architettura e le iscrizioni incise sull'edificio. Cammina per un po' per arrivare a Piazza Navona, (nell'antichità Circo di Domiziano) dove gli acerrimi rivali Gian Lorenzo Bernini (la Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi) e Francesco Borromini (chiesa di Sant'Agnese in agonia) si scontrarono tramite le loro rappresentazioni di arte barocca. Oggi la piazza è popolata da artisti di strada, attori e mercatini, che la rendono un luogo divertente in cui fermarsi e riposarsi.

Il pomeriggio sarà dedicato a un tour guidato dei famosi luoghi sacri della Città del Vaticano tra cui il Museo di Pio Clementine, la Sala delle Muse, la Sala Rotonda, la Sala della Croce Greca, la Galleria degli Arazzi, la Galleria delle carte geografiche, le Stanze di Raffaello e la Cappella Sistina. Poi esci in Piazza San Pietro, dove il tour si concluderà. L'acceso saltafila alla Basilica di San Pietro verrà fornito dalla guida nel caso desiderassi visitare la chiesa per tuo conto.

My husband and I spent two weeks in Europe and this was BY FAR the best tour we went on! We spent our morning with the lovely Chiara, seeing the ancient Roman sights, and our afternoon was with Christina at the Vatican. We were blown away by both ladies’ extensive knowledge and great energy. EXCELLE

We had a long list of things we wanted to see and do when in Rome. This tour allowed us to tick off more about half of that list in the first day of our 3-day visit to this wonderful city. Our tour guide in the morning was Chiara and she was absolutely fantastic. The first two stops were the Colosseum and then the Foro Romano and we family of 4 shared our guide with a lady from the US, so it was only 5 of us. The tour was really personal and we learned so much. The rest of the morning we had Chiara to ourselves. I don't remember the guide's name in the afternoon, but this was less personal by its nature, because we were in a larger group with equipped with intercoms. That was fine, but there are a lot of galleries in the Vatican and the tour can only give you a relatively brief overview. Still, you get a wealth of information and plenty of time to enjoy the Sistine Chapel and St Peter's Basilica on your own. To be fair, the tours are all pricey, but if you were to buy all the tickets separately and do the research and then queue up for all these places, you would probably need two days rather than one and it's probably not that much cheaper anyway. We thoroughly enjoyed it, but we ended up walking nearly 26k steps that day each or 19 kilometres if you prefer. If you are happy to do a lot of walking, which we were, I can highly recommend this tour for you.

Brilliant tour, really enjoyed the day. Julian was very knowledgeable and really passionate about the history of Rome. He was very attentive and took the time to explain any questions asked. He did not just talk about the history but explained some of the myths and ensured we knew what was fact and truth. Irene was our guide for the afternoon and she took us around the Vatican and the sistine chapel. She defiantely knew her stuff and had great humour. The day is very long so ensure you are ready for all the walking,if not i suggest you do it in two half days. Really really loved it
