Tour del Palazzo di Nerone con tour del Colosseo e della città antica
Dopo l'incontro nei pressi del Colosseo, esploreremo il Colosseo e il Foro Romano, prima di salire sul colle Palatino, il sito dove è stata fondata la città di Roma, in un piccolo gruppo di massimo 12 persone. Passeggeremo per la Via Sacra, la strada principale dell'antica Roma e raggiungeremo il cuore dell'antica capitale, dove sono stati eretti i principali edifici religiosi e politici (alcuni dei quali ancora esistenti), tra cui il Senato e il Tempio di Vesta, in cui il fuoco sacro di Roma veniva mantenuto acceso dalle vergini sacerdotesse, assicurando la gloria della città.
La guida ti condurrà alla Domus Aurea per esplorare il palazzo di Nerone.
Grazie agli occhiali 3D forniti durante il tour, potrai osservare la famosa Sala della volta dorata proprio com'era quando è stata costruita. Potrai anche vedere l'esterno della Domus Aurea per farti un'idea più dettagliata di com'era il palazzo e osservare l'antica Roma dalla lussuosa terrazza.
Durante la visita, farai parte di un gruppo di massimo 24 persone che sarà guidato da archeologi ufficiali della Domus Aurea che ti forniranno informazioni sugli affreschi dei corridoi e delle sale. Visiteremo la Sala ottagonale, il Criptoportico, la Sala di Achille a Sciro, il Ninfeo di Polifemo e molto altro ancora. Sarà possibile entrare nella famosa Sala della volta dorata con gli occhiali 3D che ti consentiranno di vivere un'esperienza a tutto tondo dell'incredibile potenza e ricchezza di Nerone.
Il tour si concluderà all'ingresso della Casa di Nerone.

- Eventuali bottiglie d'acqua dovranno essere svuotate prima di entrare al Colosseo (sono disponibili delle fontane). È possibile portare con sé bottiglie vuote riutilizzabili, poiché l'acqua che esce dalle fontane lungo il percorso è potabile
- Si tratta di un tour a piedi intenso di 5 ore poiché l'area da visitare è ampia. Lungo la strada vi sono distributori automatici in cui è possibile acquistare bevande e spuntini veloci da mangiare durante il tour
- È consentita la consumazione di cibo nell'area archeologica
- Per motivi di sicurezza tutti i visitatori e i loro bagagli devono essere ispezionati. Tutti gli oggetti (compresi i telefoni cellulari) devono essere messi in una borsa o zaino o nel vassoio a disposizione per il controllo a raggi X
- Non sono ammessi zaini di grandi dimensioni, attrezzature da campeggio, borse voluminose, valigie e trolley. Gli zaini di piccole e medie dimensioni, così come qualsiasi altra borsa, devono essere sottoposti al controllo del metal detector, aperti e ispezionati visivamente dagli addetti alla sicurezza

Eliza was an archaeologist who gave us the best insight possible. We used what she taught in other tours with less informed guides. She also was very attentive, always pointing out water refill points and giving us a chance to catch our breathes if we were moving quickly or moving us to a shady location when possible. She didn’t need any visual aids because of how educated she was, giving us amazing visual descriptions and pointing out things, in the coliseum for example, that were often overlooked. Although her specialty was Egyptology, she even included amazing anecdotes during her excavations to help illustrate much of how we were able to interpret the Roman history and findings as they were discovered. Everything from the history of different marbles and their implications to the comparison of lifestyles between rich and poor romans gave us an incredible insight that made the tour go by in a breeze. Oft over looked, the underground tour through Nero’s Golden Palace with the oculus rift is a must.
5 hours flew by so quickly. Loved the tour! Seeing Nero's palace was the cherry on top of a great experience. Our tour guide was fabulous!!
What could be better than having a tour of ancient Roman sites with an archeologist as tour guide? The amount of information was as great as the sites are overwhelming. You can't go wrong with this tour.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and very informative. However, she was very cold and lacked any form of personality. I also wish we could have stopped at a bookstore while there. Nero's house is not work seeing. It is mostly underground with essentially nothing to see. Unless you are an archictural student or have a vivid imagination, you cannot envision what is being explained.
This tour was amazing!
The portion of the tour that was Nero's Place was great very interesting and informative. Unfortunately the tour guide for the Colosseum was not that great. Very, very slow paced. It started with no allowance for a bathroom break between Nero's Palace and the colosseum, she then took us to a couple of the displays inside the structure and gave us very little time in the outside area of the colosseum where we stood in one spot, not able to walk about or look at anything beyond the single spot she took us to. We mentioned that we wanted to leave the tour and she persuaded us to stay until we reached the Palatine where she would direct us to the restrooms. After reaching that area and another 15-20 minutes without regard to our discomfort we were forced to make it very clear that we could wait no longer and left the tour. I've had other tours of the colosseum and this was by far the least interesting, slowest paced of them all any tour actually.
