Inizia la tua giornata con un prelievo da Reykjavik in minibus e parti per esplorare il Cerchio d'Oro, un percorso panoramico di 300 km che circonda la campagna intorno alla capitale. La prima tappa è il parco nazionale di Thingvellir, Patrimonio Mondiale dell'UNESCO, dove nacque il parlamento più longevo del mondo. Ascolta la storia dei vichinghi islandesi che istituirono il parlamento nell'area e cammina sul luogo in cui si incontrano le placche tettoniche del Nord America e dell'Europa.
Sgranchisciti le gambe con una piacevole passeggiata, poi torna al minibus e viaggia verso il lago Thingvallavatn, nel cuore del parco. Il lago è noto per una fenditura naturale chiamata fessura di Silfra che segna il confine tra la placca tettonica nordamericana ed europea.
Dirigiti verso il luogo per lo snorkeling per prepararti all'avventura e ascolta l'introduzione sulla sicurezza da parte della guida. Quindi segui la guida nelle famose acque cristalline e fai snorkeling tra due continenti! La fessura di Silfra è celebre per la visibilità straordinaria, fino a circa 100 m di profondità, dove puoi addirittura vedere i campi di lava.
Risali sul minibus e viaggia attraverso la valle di Haukadalur, una regione geotermica costellata di incredibili geyser (sorgenti termali che spruzzano getti d'acqua e vapore nell'aria). Fermati per scattare delle foto a Geysir, una delle sorgenti più suggestive della zona, e ammira la potenza del geyser Strokkur che erutta acqua fino a 40 m di altezza prima di proseguire il viaggio con una visita alla vicina Gullfoss, un'imponente cascata che scende fino al canyon del fiume Hvita.
Dopo aver esplorato la zona visitando le imponenti cascate e sorgenti termali, potrai tornare a Reykjavik.

Long day on bus and Golden Circle is an overreach but still a nice drive. Good guide. Snorkeling overrated and not enough equipment for group .

It was a long but great day trip, the scenery is spectacular and our driver and snorkelling guides were excellent.

This experience cannot be replicated anywhere else in the world! The guide was wonderfully understanding of what a newbie to snorkeling needs. The water was pristine and you could see to the bottom of 42 meters! Took my breath away! Wear tight clothes, such as long underwear and wool socks. You only wear one layer under the dry suit. Your hands get a bit cold , but not that uncomfortable. Everything else except my long hair stayed dry. So glad I did this!

This tour was an amazing way to see the Golden Circle highlights. Our small group meant we could maximize our time at each stop. The highlight was definitely the snorkeling. I highly recommend filling your water bottle up with that crystal clear, delicious water before getting back in the van. You will enjoy every sip on the ride home!

The trip was Good.. the changes I would want is a better job at Pickup - I had to wait for nearly 80 mins Not easy when you have to wait at the pick up point in cold snow and sometimes it was snowing too.. plus the trip says that you MUST be there by 830 AM.. and they have the luxury to pick u up as late as 90 MINS.. that is QUITE Sad. Plus - the time at the main attractions was RUSHED.. like 1 hour at the Gyizer place - to view.. eat.. have a bio break etc etc. Given a choice I would want to change these two things for sure and so letting you know in advance.

This tour was the highlight of my trip due to snorkeling! Once in a lifetime experience and a must do in Iceland. The guides and instructors are fun and very knowledgeable. This is a must!!!

This tour was a bit disorganized because they told us at first that snorkeling was in the morning, but ended up being later so we wasted around 2 hours in transport. The guide also had issues instructing us where parking was going to be so definitely communication could've been better. The sights were good and snorkeling was very cool but as a start to the iceland experience I thought it was ok. I highly recommend going out south and east as all the waterfalls/mountains/volcano/glacier views are around there.

This experience is arguably the coolest thing I have ever done! I thought I would freeze to death in glacier water at about 30 degrees F with windchill in January but you wear your own thermal layers before they put you in a snowsuit/onesie thing and then a drysuit. Your entire body stayed warm and dry except your hands and head that were in neoprene gloves/hood. The water was crystal clear and if any got into your snorkel you can drink it because it's some of the freshest in the world. The guides were really friendly and took photos that were available for purchase afterwards. The part of the description about snorkeling between two tectonic plates was a tad misleading - I thought the silfra fissure was literally the two plates and you would be directly between them but they're actually several miles apart. Still really fun. The rest of the golden circle tour was great as well! Don't miss out on the snorkeling part.
