Arrive at the Air Milford base for a thorough pre-flight briefing with your pilot, before embarking on your 35 minuet flight to Manapouri.

Fly over Lake Wakatipu, New Zealand's longest lake.

Pass By: Mavora Lakes Park, Fiordland National Park New Zealand

Your 35 minuet scenic flight takes in incredible views of the Mavora Lakes, which were famously used in the filming of the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit trilogies.

Pass By: Lake Te Anau, Te Anau, Fiordland National Park New Zealand

Fly past lake Te Anau, the largest lake in the South Island of New Zealand.

Pass By: Te Anau Airport Manapouri, Aviation Dr, Manapouri 9679, New Zealand

After your 35 minuet scenic flight concludes, arrive at the Manapouri airport, to meet your shuttle transfer to the Doubtful Sound excursion.

Stop At: Lake Manapouri, New Zealand

Take the ferry over Lake Manpouri, passing the largest hydro-electric power station in New Zealand. On arrival at West arm, take the bus over the spectacular Wilmot pass before descending into Doubtful Sound itself.

Stop At: Doubtful Sound, Te Anau, Fiordland National Park New Zealand

On arrival at the fiord, embark on your 3hr cruise of Doubtful Sound.

Often called 'the Sound of Silence,' there is a cloistered serenity within the fiord.

The fiord is rich in flora and fauna, often our visitors on a scenic excursion will see New Zealand Fur Seals and in the Penguin breeding season, the Fiordland crested penguins can be seen on many of the small islets in the entrance of the fiord.

At 421 meters deep, Doubtful is the deepest of the fiords and is long and winding with three distinct ‘arms’. It is also home to New Zealand’s highest waterfall – the Browne Falls at 836m (2,742 ft).

Stop At: Lake Manapouri, New Zealand

After your cruise of the fiord concludes, take the journey back over the Wilmot pass and then the ferry over lake Manapouri.

Pass By: Te Anau Airport Manapouri, Aviation Dr, Manapouri 9679, New Zealand

On arrival back in Manapouri, take the shuttle bus back to the airport, where your pilot will be waiting to take you on your scenic flight back to Queenstown.

Arrive back at Air Milford base, before being transferred to your Queenstown accommodation.
