Tour di 3 giorni della giungla amazzonica presso il Corto Maltés Lodge
All'arrivo all'aeroporto, sarai accolto dalla guida del tour e accompagnato al Porto di Capitania, dove salirai a bordo di una tipica imbarcazione amazzone e viaggerai lungo il fiume Madre de Dios della giungla per quaranta minuti fino a raggiungere l'hotel Corto Maltés Amazonia. Una volta raggiunto l'hotel, avrai tempo per rilassarti e gustare un delizioso pranzo. Nel pomeriggio, inizia la tua avventura amazzone mentre farai trekking nella giungla per esplorare una grande varietà di alberi tropicali, piante medicinali e incontrare una vasta gamma di diversi tipi di creature e animali. Visiterai inoltre un accampamento shiringuero, una riproduzione di un vero campo, dove osserverai il processo di raccolta della gomma e il suo utilizzo per molti prodotti. Il trekking durerà circa 2 ore.
Una volta tornati in hotel, potrei voler fare una nuotata rinfrescante in piscina o gustare un delizioso cocktail presso il bar con terrazza, prima di partire per un safari in barca alla ricerca dei caimani. Torneremo poi per un'invitante cena peruviana.
2° GIORNO: lago Sandoval, visita alla torre di vedetta e un campo di raccolta delle noci brasiliane (Corto Maltés) (B, L, D)
Oggi, ti alzerai presto per vedere il meglio della fauna selvatica amazzone al mattino. Dopo 20 minuti di viaggio sul fiume Madre de Dios, arriverai al pontile del lago Sandoval. Dopo un'escursione di circa 3 km, entrerai nella riserva nazionale di Tambopata, dove vedrai alberi giganti, diversi tipi di scimmie, uccelli bellissimi e molto altro. Durante il tuo viaggio in barca sul lago Sandoval, potrai osservare giganti lontre di fiume, rettili, mammiferi e uccelli.
Isla de los Monos (facoltativo). Questa attività dipende dalla stagione. A volte, sarà difficile visitare l'isola a causa delle inondazioni.
Un'altra attività fantastica sarà l'arrampicata su una delle due torri di vedetta (rispettivamente alte 20 e 42 metri) progettate per il birdwatching. Quindi, dopo questa esperienza interessante, ti dirigerai verso un campo di noci brasiliano.
Avrai del tempo libero a disposizione. Puoi fare una nuotata, rinfrescarti con una bibita al bar o visitare il negozio di souvenir.
3° GIORNO: da Corto Maltés all'aeroporto di Puerto Maldonado (B)Ti sveglierai presto, verso le 5:30 del mattino, per osservare la Colpa (una parete d'argilla distante 20 minuti a piedi). Osserverai il fantastico spettacolo dei pappagalli che arrivano alla Colpa per mangiare il particolare tipo di argilla di cui è composta la parete. Ritorneremo in hotel.
Dopo una deliziosa colazione, la tua guida ti accompagnerà in barca per tornare a Puerto Maldonado. Prima di raggiungere l'aeroporto, farai una sosta presso un mercato locale, dove vendono prodotti agricoli, in particolare, i frutti dell'Amazzonia. Arriverai all'aeroporto in tempo per il tuo volo interno.

The lodge is nice in a beautiful location. A lot of thanks to our guide, Moisis. He was very helpful and knowledgeable of the local nature. He really hepled us to feel comfortable to the jungle.
Great family vacation! Would recommend lodge to provide fans in the room and some kind of bug repellent. Awesome tour guide!!
Our guide, Franklin, was a treasure trove of knowledge insofar as how natives used and understood the nutritional and medicinal nature of plants and animals that throng through the jungle, lake and river that you will visit on this trip. His eyes, furthermore, were incredible, spotting things that took most of us some time to see even after he pointed them out, through our binoculars. For this alone, he gets 5 stars. Your 'close encounters' will likely be far from that, but with eagle-eyed guides your binoculars can make out forms and occasionally features within the elusive jungle. That said, the lodge does not look like the pictures. It's not bad at all just very basic, with electricity and hot water at certain hours of the day, and everyone following an identical schedule. The bungalows are paper-thin, which is fine, as most are free-standing, but if you're caught in the 4-room 2-story house units C-1 through C-4, be prepared to hear every word and non-word, iPhone buzz, footstep and sound as though your neighbors are sitting in your lap. Worse, the French-run, French-saturated hostel it's very much a hostel don't expect anything more has zero 'Western' customer service or attentiveness to speak of, whether food no choice no timetable no discussion or drink be prepared to wait up to 40 minutes to be served at the one time everyone is dumped into the bar, simultaneously, awaiting dinner. For this, the Lodge itself gets 1.5 stars.
Mostly good, however a BIG issue that wasted hours of our time. I added a traveler to our booking at least a month before our arrival. I was assured all would be fine...but his name was not on our pick up list from our accommodations in Puerto Maldonado. Luckily our hostel host went with us to the travel headquarters to make sure everything was clear. We had been switched from Corto Maltés Lodge to Inkaterra Lodge Field Station which was beautiful and very peaceful! So this review is not for Corto Maltés, just Viator as a booking service. The agent had emailed me the itinerary but I assumed it was all part of the same lodge group. It wasn't.
This tour was well-organized and our guide, Manuel, was fantastic. The rooms were nice and we loved the hammocks on the porch area. It was a shame that we ended up getting so much rain, as we weren't able to enjoy them as much as we would have liked. For anyone who also encounters rain when you are there: get everything away from the windows! We learned the hard way that the screened-in windows, coupled with the curtains, do very little to prevent water from entering your room and soaking the floor. Luckily, our hard-sided luggage prevented everything from being soaked, but it was a close call. The only down-sides of our trip were the market walk at the end it was very strange, and something that most people spending some time in Peru will experience anyways and the fact that the WiFi was out the whole time we were there it had been out for quite some time as a result of a storm that passed through. It's nice to disconnect, but we were leaving to fly back home to Canada directly after our tour, and were unable to check-in to our flights and keep in touch with people picking us up from the airport! Overall, this was a great tour and we highly recommend it!
All the logistics were handled very well. The lodge was very nice albeit simple. Ceiling fans would have been nice...it was pretty hot and humid. Our guide Manual was fantastic, very knowledgeable and easy going. The food was very good, and appreciated the pool and bar after an early morning hike in to the jungle!
