Goditi una vista spettacolare dalla Nossa Senhora da Paz, chiesa in una zona montana appartata tra le montagne, che si affaccia sull'intera città di Vila Franca do Campo e sull'isolotto nel mare di fronte. Breve sosta in città per provare i famosi "queijadas" (pasticcini) locali freschi di panetteria.
Scopri Furnas, una magica città costruita all'interno di una caldera vulcanica e goditi alcuni dei tesori che il vulcano offre alla gente del posto. Immergiti nelle rilassanti piscine termali (opzionale, non incluso), osserva l'ebollizione delle fumarole (buchi fumanti) in azione e guarda il famoso "cozido" un tipo di stufato, mentre viene tratto fuori dal suolo di origine vulcanica prima di gustarlo per pranzo in un ristorante locale (incluso).
Nel pomeriggio, raggiungi la cima del cratere per goderti viste panoramiche mozzafiato del lago Furnas e della città. Prosegui verso il Nordeste, la costa orientale dell'isola, con un po' di maestose scogliere con una sosta obbligatoria alla cascata di Ribeira dos Caldeirões.

Fernando was my guide for both the West and East tours in back to back days. He is full of knowledge on history, geology, plants, and Portuguese culture. We had to work around the weather a little but but Fernando made sure we got to see the best of the island no matter what! He truly made our experience the best and he’s also a great photographer! Thank you for the memories!
We loved this tour! We were so fortunate to have Hugo for this tour after having him the day before on the West tour. Everything about this day was such a great experience. I really feel like you see the West and you Experience the East. Everything from the ground cooked lunch to the hot springs exceeded expectation. And we truly cannot say enough good things about Hugo! He was informative, kind, and a true pleasure to have as our guide. He never made us feel rushed and was really interested in making sure we loved our experience!

Our tour guide Miguel gave us an excellent tour of this area. We had the corzido stew at a local restaurant. Miguel was very friendly and knowledgeable about this area of Sao Miguel. I highly recommend this tour.
Excellent tour, beautiful sights. The driver/guide Miguel was superb giving us all the information about the sites we visited and Sao Miguel in general. The lunch was very delicious. The group was just 6 people which it was very comfortable and it felt like being with a friends from the first minute!
This tour takes you to wonderful views and experiences. We especially thank Pure Azores tours and our guide Mario for the excellent choices they made. Mario watched carefully when the clouds lifted so we could really see the views and not just fog. He gave us lots of information in a very interesting way and has a great sense of humor. We certainly recommend this tour, Pure Azores Tour and Viator!
We had a great time visiting Furnas, spending time in the thermal pools and the botanical garden, having some traditional stew for lunch, and then spending time at the breathtaking waterfalls of Nordeste. To finish off the tour, we visited the Gorreana Tea plantation and factory. This is family-friendly all-day trip, and our guide Ricardo was very laid-back and friendly.
