An OK walk. A very knowledgeable guide who tended to mumble and forget that his loudspeaker device did not count for much in the bustle of the main NYC roads before getting to the park. Joel ? clearly feels he knows more than other official guides as he puts it and indeed clearly knows his stuff. However, there is an art to being a guide and that is firstly remembering that your visitors may not speak the language very well but are just as interested as any others in what you are saying - so SLOW IT DOWN, JOEL if you want us to appreciate that knowledge. For the same foreigner reason, leaving the group at Strawberry Fields after all of us leaving HIM a tip, of course! and expecting us to somehow make our way back to where we wanted to go is not easy for people who do not really follow instructions like Yeah, just make your way to Columbus with a left out of the park when you are actually in the middle of it. Leaving all of us near a metro station or offering to show us on the map would have been more helpful.

This 2 hour tour is great fun. Having a guide meant that we learned things wed probably have missed if wed been by ourselves. Maggie was great, we really enjoyed her company, and loved hearing about the history of the park.

Central Park is amazing and it is good to walk round with someone who can point out stuff you wouldn't normally know.

This was an excellent tour, Joel was our guide and there was only 3 of us on the tour. Central Park is stunning, we had only really been on the outskirts before going on this tour.

Joel was our guide- an actor on Broadway. He showed us the sights from Central Park using a play backdrop with various acts. Very clever and engaging.
