Visita il World Trade Center a partire St. Paul's Chapel, a un solo isolato di distanza dal sito, eppure miracolosamente sopravvissuto agli attacchi dell'11 settembre. Scoprirai l'importante ruolo che ha rivestito subito dopo gli attacchi, fungendo da base per le operazioni di soccorso per volontari e addetti nei mesi a seguire. Potrai inoltre visitare il 9/11 Memorial Plaza e concederti qualche istante per riflettere accanto alle vasche.

La tua guida esperta ti spiegherà che tutto ciò che vedi ha un significato: dal design delle vasche del memorial all'architettura dei nuovi edifici del World Trade Center che hanno un scopo simbolico, grazie alla visione degli architetti che li hanno integrati nel memorial attraverso l'uso di materiali, angolazioni, luci e riflessi. Potrai inoltre visitare il Memorial dedicati ai vigili del fuoco e l'American Express 11 Tears Memorial, mete spesso trascurate dai visitatori.

A oltre 15 anni dagli attacchi dell'11 settembre, è stato fatto moltissimo e potrai ammirare di persona gli edifici ricostruiti mentre la tua guida di accompagna attraverso Brookfield Place, Fulton Center e The Oculus, una struttura da 4 miliardi di dollari e cuore della nuova piattaforma dei trasporti del World Trade Center. Anche il design di questa struttura ha un significato simbolico che la guida ti spiegherà.

In questa visita, potrai ammirare il World Trade Center del passato e del presente e cogliere dettagli che da solo non avresti carpito nella visita al World Trade Center più approfondita e interessante che potresti decidere di fare.

We signed up for this tour to get an overview of the 9/11 Memorial and Ground Zero. It was exactly what we wanted, and included a tour of the whole area including St. James Church grounds, the Oculus, the American Express Building with memorial, Memorial Plaza and others. There was lots of walking, which was perfect for us, and most of the tour was outdoors, so be sure to dress accordingly. We chose to visit the Museum on our own first rather than doing it after the walking tour, and we were glad we did. It was a lot to absorb. Very powerful. Our tour guide, Debbie, was fabulous. We appreciated her very much!

This was an amazing and humbling tour to be part of. Our tour guide was ve4ry knowledgeable about the tour and knew the facts, he wasn't reading from a script. Learning about the entire area, things i wouldn't have if i just went to the site of the towers was mind boggling. I would definitely recommend this tour.

I chose the Ground Zero Walking Tour along with the 9/11 Museum Visit. I chose the time of 3:00 to start the tour.Bad decision The person who lead the Ground Zero walking tour did show up on time, as indicated. However, he was so detailed that when we got to the Museum tour, the last guided tour had already started and they would not let us join the last tour. We walked around without details of what we were looking at. That was very disappointing. I know your company had no control of this situation, however, I thought you should know and perhaps have the museum eliminate the Optional Museum tour, or explain, there may not be a guide available at that time.

Highly recommend this tour! It was a two hour walking tour and the time flew by. The insights our tour guide gave and the perspective on the rebuilding would have been missed. He also provided background on the response efforts from that day. And he addressed our 2 teenagers so they felt included.
