An excellent tour guided by Michele. We don't usually do guided tours but this was worth every penny. Michele's personal experience of that day was both emotional and educational at the same time. There was no way we would have known any of the fact that were communicated and we left with a better understanding of how the memorial was conceived and what it means to those who lost loved ones.

I didn't realize initially that this tour was only of the ground zero and nothing inside the museum. Most of the time our guide kept telling his personal story of where he was and what he was eating or what he was doing when the twin tower attack happened. That too, all this discussions happened quite far from actual ground zero spot, in St. Paul Cathedral where our tour started. Though the explanations were good, we found it had too much of the tour guide's personal account of the day, would have been better receiving more facts of what happened that the day at ground zero. We spent some time in the Occulus and the fire dept which was good to get the whole picture. Only good part of this tour was - we could enter the museum really quickly beating the long queues as we bypassed them with a fast lane operator entry. On hindsight, what I found more valuable and precious was the 1 hour guided tour of the museum which was organised by the museum authorities exclusively. I did that tour after I went inside the museum and was very happy and emotional after the whole tour. I also spent enough time in the permanent special exhibits sections which you can do on your own pace. Those sections helped me go through the relics/remains of the aftermath and stuff collected on that day of the event. It also gave me a very clear idea and description (through video footage, phone playbacks and memorabilia) what went on during that day and in the next few days. So, if you want to know more about ground zero and where the old twin towers stood, this tour gives you a fair idea about that. But for me, it was more valuable to do the guided tour of the museum inside and do the self guided tour of the special exhibits inside the museum to get to know better what happened on that day and the next few days after. So that's what you have to do if you are interested in the museum.

Great tour. Tour guides were nice and informative. The tour really puts you there. Some walking outside but inside parts of the tour had escalators and elevators so dont feel you cannot take tour if you have a hard time climbing stairs like me

Our tour was fantastic! Jon White was an outstanding tour guide. He was so well spoken and the stories he shared about his experiences on 9/11 made the tour so personal and interesting. I had visited the 9/11 Memorial and Museum several years ago with my children, and while it was a meaningful experience then, John's tour made it even more so this time around. We learned so many fascinating facts that made the entire experience more vivid and interesting. The tour started and ended on time and the group size was perfect. Highly recommend this tour prior to visiting the museum as it will put everything into perspective by someone who lived through that day's events. Thanks again!

Fantastic tour guide with awesome information. Best tour ever. Very interesting and points of interest were pointed out with so much enthusiasm for telling us. She ran over her time limit, but we wished she could go on and on. We can't say enough positive things about this tour and guide.

I really enjoyed my tour. It was very informative and our tour guide, John Saponaro was very knowledgeable, but what made it an excellent tour was not only his knowledge, but his touching memories and his feelings towards the significance of the memorial.
