In ricordo dell'11 settembre 2001, questo tour a piedi ti condurrà nel luogo dove sorgeva il World Trade Center di New York e in cui si svolsero gli eventi di quel giorno. Le tue guide saranno newyorchesi che hanno collegamenti con l'11 settembre; ascolterai le loro storie personali e toccanti, resoconti di eroismo di tanti altri individui.

Ground Zero
Il tour parte dalla St. Paul's Chapel, il più antico edificio pubblico a New York ancora in uso, che miracolosamente è sopravvissuto alla caduta dei detriti derivati dagli attacchi dell'11 settembre, nonostante si trovi ad appena 1 isolato da quel luogo. Immediatamente dopo l'evento divenne un centro per i soccorsi improvvisato e la sua recinzione in ferro fu utilizzata come una sorta di bacheca su cui la gente attaccava gli annunci dei familiari scomparsi. Oggi, con i cimeli ricevuti da persone di tutto il mondo a supporto di New York, la chiesa svolge un ruolo commemorativo. Proseguendo verso l'FDNY Memorial Wall, ascolterai le storie eroiche di come la gente reagì all'emergenza e potrai vedere l'Engine and Ladder Company 10/10, la stazione dei pompieri di Ground Zero.

National September 11 Memorial
Entra nel memoriale dell'11 settembre, dove potrai rendere omaggio a chi perse la vita nel World Trade Center. Osserva il Reflecting Absence Memorial, le cascate artificiali all'interno del memoriale, che simboleggiano l'enorme vuoto lasciato dalla tragedia. Leggi i nomi delle quasi 3.000 vittime incisi intorno alle cascate, vicino a quello dei loro amici, familiari e colleghi; poi ammira il nuovo World Trade Center che sorge lì davanti. A tour concluso, la guida ti fornirà un biglietto per visitare a un orario prestabilito il museo e ridurre i tempi di attesa; dopo questa tappa, proseguirai per l'osservatorio.

National September 11 Museum
Se partecipi al tour delle 10:30, orientativamente entrerai al museo alle 12:00, mentre il tour delle 14:00 prevede l'ingresso al museo alle 15:30 (scegli l'orario del tour che preferisci al momento della prenotazione); tuttavia gli orari possono variare in base alla disponibilità. La guida ti fornirà delle anticipazioni su cosa troverai nel museo, così da permetterti di sfruttare al meglio il tempo che avrai a disposizione e non perdere l'opportunità di concentrarti su quelli che sono i tuoi interessi principali. La visita è autonoma, perciò potrai esplorare il museo al tuo ritmo, per vedere i reperti degli attacchi e ascoltare le registrazioni delle persone che erano lì quel giorno.

One World Observatory
All'uscita dal museo, raggiungerai il One World Trade Center, noto anche come Freedom Tower, per visitare il One World Observatory. Questa piattaforma di osservazione panoramica è una meraviglia di ingegneria e architettura. Il programma inizia nella hall con "Voices", un film dedicato agli uomini e donne che hanno costruito la nuova torre. Poi salirai sull'ascensore Sky Pod, che sale per 381 metri in meno di 60 secondi.

Coinvolgenti display LED, un video interattivo con touch screen e le opzioni gastronomiche ti forniranno un'esperienza ricca di stimoli, ma la vera attrazione è la vista: ti troverai a centinaia di metri sopra lo skyline di New York, osservando tutta Manhattan.

L'orario d'ingresso all'osservatorio segue quello della visita al museo: generalmente, alle 14:00 per il tour delle 10:30 e alle 17:30 per il tour delle 14:00.

We were fortunate to have Jennifer as our tour guide. She was both informative, respectful and also slightly humorous where applicable on our 9/11 memorial tour. For anyone wanting a well planned, organised and thoroughly informative tour, this is the one! If you are lucky, you may even get a hug from Jennifer when the tour is over (well worth it!)

Took the All Access guided Tour at the 9/11 Memorial. We didn’t regret that at all. An experienced and easy-going tour guide walked us through the horrible attack, leaving us with new information we would never have achieved, had we not gone to the Ground Zero. An amazing experience - but also emotional. Wouldn’t have missed it! And yes - do take a trip to the Observatory - an awesome experience.

Our tour guide, Tony Di Sante, was very information and good. Our tour date was July 23 and we had a tour of the grounds and surrounding sights, museum entrance and trip to the top of World Trade 1.

Our second visit to NY. Daniel our guide was very informative, giving his personal experiences and captured our memories in Australia from that time. Our second visit was as moving and memorable as the first....must see of NY

Highly recommend this walking tour. Our tour guide Alison, was very knowledgeable and shared her personal experience/memories of that day while attending school in NYC. It brought back memories I had of that day. The museum was awesome which exhibited timeline of that day, many pictures, video and audio of peoples experience that day. There were items that were damaged by the attack fire truck, ambulance, clothing, plane, buildings, etc. Top of One World Trade had awesome views of the city.

Absolutely amazing tour, with a fantastic tour guide think her name was Denerise who was so knowledgeable and passionate, and who passed on the empathy and passion for the tragic events of that day, and who had first hand knowledge / memories. I learnt so much more that I didnt know about the events of the tragic day, that I felt very emotional. One World Observatory is fantastic and the museum really brings home the tragic events but in a very sympathetic way -definitely a tour to do while in New York - highly recommend

This tour is a must, it was very moving and emotional, our tour guide Elizabeth was awesome and even had a close personal experience that she shared with us, this tour brought back lots of memories I had that day, the Museum was amazing and it's all underground where you can see the actual foundation of the building still there and many relics like a fire engine, parts of the plane and buildings, many pictures with video and audio playing of love ones leaving phone messages. Top of One World Trade had awesome views of the city and harbor.
