Incontra la tua guida la mattina vicino al Castel Nuovo, un'imponente fortezza e antica residenza reale, conosciuta localmente come Maschio Angioino. Poi, insieme alla guida e a un piccolo gruppo, fai una passeggiata nel cuore della Napoli storica per conoscere l'esclusivo cibo di strada della città.
Mentre passeggi, ascolta la storia di Napoli e della sua rinomata cucina e ammira le attrazioni locali tra cui il grande Teatro di San Carlo, il teatro dell'opera più antico d'Europa. Fai la tua prima sosta in un caffè di fronte al teatro dell'opera, dove potrai gustare un caffè espresso ristretto e forte, secondo la tradizione napoletana.
Procedi per l'estesa Piazza del Plebiscito e ammira l'insieme di impressionanti monumenti che la circondano, tra cui la splendida e maestosa del Palazzo Reale di Napoli. Entra nella Galleria Umberto I nelle vicinanze, uno stupefacente centro commerciale del XIX secolo con un bellissimo tetto in vetro e il pavimento a mosaico. Qui, assaggia un dolcetto: una sfogliatella fredda e calda con strati di delizioso, morbido, friabile impasto.
Spazzola via le briciole rimaste e continua verso un mercato alimentare nelle vicinanze. Assaggia una vasta gamma di specialità locali e i prodotti freschi delle bancarelle di frutta e verdura e del pesce. Assaggia ancora del cibo di strada, che cambia a seconda della stagione e della disponibilità e può includere 'o pére e ‘o musso (carne fredda con sale e limone) o le pizzette .
Dopo aver lasciato il mercato, passa per Spaccanapoli, una strada stretta diritta che attraversa il centro storico di Napoli. Il tour termina presso la centralissima Piazza Dante. Prima di congedarti dalla tua guida, chiedi consigli sui migliori ristoranti e pizzerie, dove potrai approfondire la deliziosa cucina napoletana.

This tour is awesome! We were lucky enough to be the only 2 on the tour this day! Silvia our guide was absolutely fantastic. She is a true Neapolitan who loves her city and knows the history and food culture so well. Every food vendor was excited to see her. The food was incredible and we skipped dinner that evening- pastry, fried pizza, buffalo mozzarella, fried fish, hazelnut espresso and gelato....it was all incredible. But really-- a tour guide makes the tour and Silvia was the best! Even the tour company was great to work with after a mix up over which language we wanted the tour in-- Silvia does tours in both English and French so confirm which group you are with-- it didn't matter for us since we were the only ones on the tour but the company was gracious and called to confirm everything the evening before. Thank you Silvia for an unforgettable experience.

What a great way to see Naples and sample a wide variety of foods and drink. Can't say enough about our guide Sylvia who really made this a special tour. Both her knowledge of the history as we walked around the city as well as her selection of samples from special coffee and pastry to fresh sea food at the market were outstanding. I don't think we could have asked for more. Also, she provided us with some incredible recommendations for dinner which turned out to be the best we had in a city that is full of great food. Top marks

Everything was delicious, and Silvia is an excellent guide! This tour is highly recommended for those who enjoy walking and tasting delicious foods while learning about a city.

My only complaint was there was too much food! Everything from the professor's coffee to offal I would never have tried otherwise to calzones to delicately fried bites of fish to gelato was perfect. I highly recommend the tour to anyone who would like to try anything and everything while learning the history of how these peasant foods developed to much of the comfort foods we eat today. Try it , you'll like it. No actually you'll love it. A great way to spend an afternoon in exploring Naples that left us wanting more.

Outstanding!!! Our guide was 5 star! She was so informative and accommodating. Excellent English. Would highly recommend this if you would like to see some of the off the beaten track areas of Naples. Food was excellent.

My husband, mother-in-law, and I took this tour recently and enjoyed it very much. Our cruise ship docked in Naples for the day and we were seeking something different than the planned excursions our cruise offered us. This definitely fit the bill! Our tour guide Giuseppe was very informative, friendly and fun to walk and talk with while we ate our way through town. As Americans, we felt very comfortable and would recommend this to others. Just as a warning, we got very full and couldn't finish everything offered to us. So, pace yourself. :
