Da Milano (stazione ferroviaria Centrale), prendi il treno per Varenna (viaggio di circa 1 ora), un'affascinante cittadina sul lago di Como di fronte a Bellagio, un altro famoso "tesoro" del lago. La guida ti attenderà all'arrivo per accompagnarti in una passeggiata in questa pittoresca cittadina attraverso l'intrico delle sue caratteristiche stradine, alcune delle quali sono costruite sulle scogliere a picco sul lago e da cui potrai godere di un panorama mozzafiato. Quindi, ti sposterai in auto fino in Valtellina, nella parte settentrionale della Lombardia, che inizia a destra in cima al lago di Como. Per quanto possibile, percorrerai le strade secondarie, in modo da poter ammirare alcune delle bellissime cittadine inerpicate sulle montagne. Se lo desideri, puoi sostare per pranzo in un ristorante tradizionale. Attraverserai quindi i panoramici vigneti della parte bassa delle Alpi. Nel pomeriggio, avrai la possibilità di partecipare a una degustazione degli eccellenti vini prodotti in questa zona, accompagnati affettati e formaggi locali. Quindi, prenderai la strada del ritorno, fermandoti in diversi luoghi per ammirare il fantastico panorama e la natura, lungo la strada secondaria che costeggia il lato orientale del lago di Como. Alla sera, la guida ti riaccompagnerà alla stazione ferroviaria di Varenna per prendere il treno di ritorno per Milano!

Il giorno seguente, dopo colazione, la guida ti porterà lungo la Valtellina fino a Bormio, famosa località di vacanze estive e invernali, dove potrai visitare il centro storico, ammirare Via Roma, famosa per lo shopping, e provare le strutture termali naturali, una delle quali risale addirittura all'Impero Romano, oppure le discese da sci dove si svolge ogni anno la Coppa del Mondo di discesa libera!

We had a truly outstanding, memorable and relaxing day of touring with Luca in Varenna on Lake Como and Valtellina. Luca was there to meet us at the train station in Varenna when we arrived from Milan and started us off with a walk along the Lake Como shoreline. He then drove us to a historic castle on a high point above Varenna to take in the beautiful view of Lake Como and the surrounding mountains. We then drove to the town of Morbegno to sample one of the local cheeses, bitto, at f.Ili Ciapponi. We tasted 1, 2, 3, 5 and 10 year old bitto and explored the shops impressive wine cellar. Our next stop was Ristorante Quattro Stagioni at Agriturismo La Fiorida for a wonderful outdoor lunch of local specialties. After lunch, Luca gave us a private tour of the cheese making facilities at Agriturismo La Fiorida. We then drove on through the beautiful, scenic valley surrounded by mountains and hillside vineyards to Nera winery for a tour of the winery and a wine tasting accompanied by salumi and cheese. Luca orchestrated the wine tasting, which was excellent, and conducted the tour of the facility himself. Following the tasting, Luca drove us to the station to catch our train back to Milan, on the way making detours to show us special places he thought wed enjoy for the beauty. We felt the pace of the day was perfect and Lucas knowledge of the area, the food and the wine combined with his great, easy-going personality made for one of the most memorable days of our trip. We enjoyed Lucas company, commentary, guidance and personal touch throughout the tour and we will definitely use him to do more exploring when we return to the area. Luca is a gem!!!

Luca was absolutely amazing! My husband and I took this tour on our honeymoon, and we did not regret it one bit. Luca met us at the train station, and then drove us around Lake Como and took us into the winery terraces of the Sassella region, and then personally gave us a wonderful tour of the Nera Winery. He even took us to a local restaurant for lunch which had simply stunning food, local to the region, delicious, and all the better because there was no way my husband or I was going to find that place by ourselves. It was a special treat, and we were so thankful for Luca's knowledge of the area, and great demeanor. We 100 recommend taking this tour! Thank you, Luca!!

The private tour was amazing and I highly recommend Luca as the tour guide. He makes the day very fun as he brings you to not only the touristy areas, but also local places. He booked an amazing lunch for us with a view of both the Dolomites and the Alps, and the food was truly amazing. Also, he brought us to an amazing vineyard where we could taste the wine and learn all about the process. Luca makes the experience very friendly and welcoming, as he knows many people in the area. We felt completely immersed into the culture the entire time, and left with full bellies and smiling faces!

Luca was an amazing guide and this trip was definitely the highlight of our trip. We saw and experienced the true North of Italy with private tours in a small town wine cellar, cheese cellar and local winery. We stopped at a Castle above Varenna and saw the most amazing views of Lake Como etc

Fantastic day trip with Luca! This was the highlight of the trip. We opted not to do the winery, and Luca took us to a huge variety of extra excursions/secret spots along the way. Highly recommended.
