Il tour di 5 ore inizia di mattina presto, quando la guida ti preleverà dalla nave per la crociera sul Nilo o dal tuo hotel nell'area di Luxor. Visiterai innanzitutto la necropoli di Tebe prima di raggiungere il Ramesseum, il memoriale del faraone Ramses II. Qui potrai ammirare i resti dell'imponente statua di Ramses II alta 19 m e con un peso superiore a 1.000 tonnellate. Oltre alla statua, osserva le pareti decorate con bassorilievi, alcuni dei quali raffigurano la battaglia di Kades, le guerre contro gli Ittiti e la festa in onore di Amon Min.
Procederai quindi per il Tempio di Habu, costruito per Ramses III, ultimo faraone del Nuovo Regno (1550-1080 a.C.) ad avere esercitato un potere effettivo su tutto l'Egitto. Il tempio è il meglio preservato fra quelli del Nuovo Regno ed è decorato con scene militare e testi che illustrano le vittorie, i riti e le feste che si tenevano al tempo del faraone Ramses III. Potrai anche visitare il palazzo reale all'estremità meridionale del piazzale. Su entrambi i lati del tempio scorgerai le abitazioni e gli uffici amministrativi dei sacerdoti.
Proseguirai visitando la Valle dei Nobili, sulle cui colline rocciose si trovano le tombe dei nobili dell'antico Egitto. Situata a el Qurna, nella parte occidentale di Luxor, la maggior parte delle tombe appartiene al Nuovo Regno o Età dell'oro di Tebe. Decorate con scene di vita quotidiana e della vita nell'aldilà dei proprietari, queste tombe forniscono innumerevoli informazioni non solo sulla vita, ma sulle credenze religiose dell'antico Egitto. Inoltre, la loro bellezza testimonia l'abilità e la creatività degli antichi artigiani egizi.
Dopo cinque ore di esplorazione dei templi con la tua guida egittologa, il tour termina quando verrai riaccompagnato alla nave da crociera o all'hotel a Luxor.

Our tour guide Mahmoud and driver Chesley were wonderful. Mahmoud was through in explaining each site. We accessed the West Bank of the Nile River, by crossing the recent bridge built in 1992 to get to the Valley of the Nobles. There we saw the Colossi of Menon for which we were told the nile River use to reach the entrance. The two statues were colossal and were bigger than human life could conceive, similar to how the Kings perceived themselves at that time. As we continued our journey we reached the tomb of Nakht and Menna. who lived during the 18th Dynasty. As a noble person, Mean was responsible for surveying the fields and recording the inventory of the harvest. Mahmoud was detailed in his explanation making sure that we had an understanding of what we were seeing. But was was more amazing was the art work and literature that was on the wall as a result of the drawings and documentation of the ancient Egyptians. No story book can describe it to you, you must come and witness it for yourself. As you stand in the Valley of the Nobles, which is dry and desert land and look our towards the nile you see the lushness of the land before you. Where the Nile becomes the source for which the farmland can be cultivated. This tour is amazing and it would require so much more space to capture all that we saw and felt, but need less to say Habu Temple and Rameseeum Temple were just as amazing and our tour guide Mahmoud was top-notch!!! Just be prepared if you travel in the Summer, the weather is HOT!!!
