Inizia la giornata con prelievo alle 09:00 presso il tuo hotel nel centro di Lisbona, per poi iniziare il tragitto di 29 km verso Sintra in un minivan climatizzato lungo la Avenida Marginal, con una vista mozzafiato sul fiume Tago e sull'oceano Atlantico. Lasciati alle spalle il ponte 25 de Abril seguendo la linea ferroviaria e oltrepassando spiagge di sabbia bianca, pescherecci, antiche fortezze e storiche residenze.
Durante il tragitto lungo la riviera portoghese, scatta foto del Casino Estoril, il più grande casinò d'Europa, quindi fai una pausa per sgranchirti le gambe a Cascais, un villaggio di pescatori trasformatosi in elegante meta di vacanza. Esplora i vicoli stretti e scopri le tradizionali case bianche portoghesi, o semplicemente trova un posto per rilassarti in spiaggia.
Prosegui per il magnifico e fotogenico Cabo da Roca, il punto continentale più occidentale d'Europa, e osserva i surfisti sulla spiaggia di Guincho, una delle spiagge più famose della regione.
All'arrivo a Sintra, esplora il centro storico per poi dirigerti verso la romantica tenuta Quinta da Regaleira per un tour guidato del palazzo, dei lussureggianti giardini, dei laghi, delle grotte e degli edifici con misteriosi legami con la massoneria e i templari.
Dirigiti verso la cima della Serra de Sintra per visitare il parco e il Palazzo Nazionale di Pena (ingresso non incluso). Ammira questo esempio di fiabesco romanticismo architettonico in cui si fondono stili diversi come gotico, neomanuelino, neoislamico e neorinascimentale. Great day trip from Lisbon with our guide Andrei who was very knowledgeable, patient and tolerant of others in the group who were quite insulting about Portuguese culture. He had an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of places we visited, was a safe driver and collected us on time from a nominated pickup point near our rented apartment. A very enjoyable day, good value for money.

Sintra Palaces were unique. It was a lot of walking uphill. Loved Cascais - beautiful beach town - would book Cascais for a full day.

Everything about this tour was great starting from a comfortable mini van and its driver. Continuing with the tour with wonderful guide Maria who was very knowledgeable, passionate and very caring about the comfort and the safety of each person. My mom forgot glasses in a bus and Maria was very kind to bring them to our hotel which was highly appreciated. The tour was very interesting visiting 2 castles which were amazing as well as Cabo da Roca and Cascais. I would recommend wearing comfortables shoes as it might rain and you will also need to go up the hills a few times. I would highly recommend!

The day trip was excellent. Our guide and van driver Joana was very knowledgeable about the history of these two stops and was an excellent driver too. Our Portuguese lunch at Cascais (the place was recommended by Joana) was great too.

there is a lot of walking needed to cover this. the best part of the trip was the cabo da roca where we spent the least amount of time. Sintra is something that is a normal and a place where you can spent some time in the garden. nothing very special.

We were on a short break to Lisbon, and wanting to see as much as possible of the surrouding area, within a limited time frame. We found that this tour exceeded our hopes, was both interesting and varied, as well as being the most memorable day of our trip. Quinta da Regaleira with its unusual features, was of particular note. With being a group of eight passengers in a minibus, it was easy to bond with fellow travellers, and to hear the information which our guide - Fabio - readily provided. As a local, he had in depth knowledge of Sintra, and was very accomplished in his organisational abilities. Our hotel pickup was exctly on time, lunch in the sunshine (and accompanying conversation) went down a treat, We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

That's a Great Tour choice for quick overview about Lisbon Main site seeing we had a great time to discover the main sites with a quick short briefs about each stop point then you are free to go to explore I wished I was more guided during this exploration in each stop specially in Sintra but overall it was a great experience which I encourage everyone to go through

I would recommend this tour to anyone. The only reason I didn't leave 5 stars is because our tour guide was a bit overwhelming in his with his sense of humor. Although it might have been a cultural difference, several members of our group felt annoyed at one point or another during the day. He was very knowledgeable and answered the questions we had. Unfortunately, he had a very large personality that seemed to overpower the day. That being said, it was very helpful to have a guide at these sites, as it made for an efficient day. We saw what seemed to be "must sees" and top highlights, which we might have wasted time looking for on our own or simply might have missed. Also, the van was a comfortable and convenient way to get around. Again, had we have gone to these sites on our own, we likely would have wasted a lot of time just trying to navigate the area.

Small group tour (6 + guide) was the perfect size for seeing the sites and palaces of Sintra and beyond. Our guide Claudia was a native of Portugal, spoke excellent English and told us great stories about each place we visited. Between stops, she was engaging and fun and played Fado and other music to make the return to Lisbon go quickly. Tour info mentions wearing comfortable shoes for walking, but I highly recommend good WALKING shoes, as there are plenty of steps and steep inclines. Also, foggy and cool at the Park and Palace of Pena, so a light sweater or jacket would be good to have as well. Great day!
