Inizia il tuo tour alla diga di Hoover con un servizio di prelievo in pullman deluxe dal tuo hotel di Las Vegas. Alla diga di Hoover, farai il Discovery Tour e avrai tempo di esplorare le mostre per conto tuo.

Mentre esplori per conto tuo, vai verso il livello del teatro, dove ci sono dei murales, delle mappe, foto e altri schermi che forniscono un'introduzione alla diga di Hoover. Guarda una breve presentazione, "Come è stato conquistato il West", che mostra il ruolo giocato dall'ufficio di bonifica nel domare i fiumi, consolidando il West e coltivando cibo per il Paese.

In seguito, potrai vedere i generatori per le centrali elettriche col Discovery Tour, con una guida. Per arrivare qui, potrai prendere i grandi ascensori che scendono per 152 metri lungo le mura del Black Canyon, per camminare attraverso un tunnel lungo 76 metri e visitare l'ala delle centrali elettriche lunga 198 metri che dà sul Nevada con i suoi otto enormi generatori. Una volta in cima alla piattaforma panoramica di Penstock, potrai vedere uno dei quattro tubi con diametro di 9 metri, che trasportano quasi 340 litri di acqua al secondo dal lago Mead ai generatori idroelettrici nella centrale elettrica.

Dopo il Discovery Tour, visita la mostra che evidenzia parte della storia naturale della regione e presenta un quadro di come è stata costruita la diga di Hoover e di come funziona adesso. Da sopra la diga potrai immergerti in una splendida vista panoramica della diga, del lago Mead e del fiume Colorado.

Poi arriva il momento di lasciare le alture della diga di Hoover per discendere a livello dell'acqua. Presso il porto del lago Mead, ti imbarcherai sul piroscafo a pale Desert Princess per una crociera di circa 90 minuti sul lago Mead. Gusterai specialità gastronomiche a bordo mentre viaggi lungo il lago Mead e ammiri nuove vedute della diga di Hoover.

A seconda delle condizioni del traffico locale, verrà fatta una sosta di 10-15 minuti presso la simbolica scritta "Welcome to Las Vegas" per scattare delle foto.

This was in my opinion the highlight of my Vegas trip....Everything went smoothly...The bus driver(Tony) was informative and entertaining. The cruise on Lake Mead was enjoyable. The tour through Hoover Dam was really nice...Hoover Dam itself...Awesome

I loved this tour! Our bus picked us up at the hotel and took us to the terminal where everything was explained on how things would go for the day. We then loaded a bus and were on our way. There is a GPS guided system that is supposed to let you hear things about the sights you're seeing on the way there, but it wasn't working. So we got to hear our bus driver tell us things about Las Vegas and the dam on the way there. Vernon Buchanon was his name and he was terrific. I will admit that I was worried I wouldn't like the group experience - or that my husband wouldn't. But everything about it was enjoyable. I loved the lake Mead cruise and the information given during it. It was a lovely day and a great trip. The power plant tour during the time at the Hoover Dam was interesting and not too long. We had some free time to see the sights at the dam after that tour which made for a quite enjoyable day. The only downside of the whole experience was that the bus stopped at all the hotels to drop people off and ours was next to last on the list. They did this instead of going back to the terminal and having smaller buses deliver us back to the hotels like we were picked up that morning. However, that didn't ruin the day, just made it a bit longer. I would totally do it over again just the same if I had the chance. I highly recommend it.

I enjoyed the tour of Hoover Dam and Lake Mead. Lunch on the lake cruise could have been a better. Grayline did an awful job of getting us to the dam. We were picked up at 9am but did not get to the dam until 12:00. We spent lots of waisted time at their terminal waiting on them to complete a full bus. The driver, Dwayne, was awful. He tried to be funny but was stupid. He was on the cell phone while driving, which I found to be dangerous. Someone found a lost wallet so he decided to take the entire group to the lodge to return the wallet. This should have been done while we were on the lake mead cruise. This tour began at 9am and ended at our hotel at 6:30. A complete Day was waisted for a 3 hour tour!

We booked this tour to see the how the dam produces electricity. AFTER we arrived at the Gray Lines Welcome Center, we were told that the very part we wanted to see was unavailable to tours and had been unavailable for months. We feel cheated. Also, there was not enough time at the dam to see what was there.

Trip was amazing from pick up to drop off. Driver and narrator knew his Vegas history and made it a fun and interesting drive. Views of Dam were amazing and would go on this tour again. Well worth the money!

Excellent tour, and the driver Mark, was great. He was very informative not only with regard to the tour, but also with both Nevada and Las Vegas history. He also gave us good tips on getting around Las Vegas.

Excellent Experience! From the start everything about the trip was planned out and organized. The tour guide did a great job telling us about the history of Las Vegas from the early 1930's to today. Pointed out famous landmarks, exhibits, and showed us places to see. Also, gave us insight about how to get around the town , where to eat and what to do. LOVED IT!
