Il Bog Village Museum
Il Bog Museum è vicino a Glenbeigh. Questo museo offre un approfondimento affascinante di come vivevano e lavoravano le persone in Irlanda nel XVIII secolo. Il villaggio è unico nel suo genere in Europa ed è una delle attrazioni principali di Kerry. Mentre sei a Glenbeigh potrai anche visitare la sua bellissima spiaggia sabbiosa.
Cahersiveen
Seguendo la strada N70 ci fermeremo a Cahersiveen, il luogo di nascita di Daniel O'Connell, un leader politico nella prima metà del XIX secolo che fu spesso definito come il liberatore o l'emancipatore.
Valentia Island
Da Cahersiveen il tour prosegue per Valentia Island. È un'isola da cartolina sulla costa sud-occidentale di Kerry dalla bellezza e dai contrasti incredibili. È collegata alla terraferma tramite un ponte sul Portmagee Channel. Valentia era il terminale orientale della prima connessione telegrafica transatlantica. Il telegrafo transatlantico è stato operativo per cento anni a Valentia Island.
A Portmagee, faremo una sosta per il pranzo. Dopo il pranzo, la parte successiva del tour include una visita alle scogliere di Kerry.
Le scogliere di Kerry
Le scogliere di Kerry sono un'attrazione turistica a conduzione familiare a Portmagee. Le scogliere sono state un punto di osservazione per generazioni e sono ampiamente riconosciute come le più spettacolari di Kerry. Si trovano a oltre 300 m sull'Atlantico e si formarono 400 milioni di anni fa. Dalle scogliere di Kerry il tour prosegue a Ballinskelligs e Skelligs Chocolate.
Skelligs Chocolate
Skelligs Chocolate è un'azienda a conduzione familiare con sede a St. Finians che si affaccia sulle magnifiche isole Skelligs. Accoglie i visitatori per un giro nella fabbrica aperta al pubblico per osservare la creazione di cioccolatini, mentre puoi degustare queste delizie appena preparate.
Dopo Ballinskelligs, visiteremo Waterville, Caherdaniel, Sneem e Kenmare.
Kenmare
Kenmare si trova nel cuore della baia di Kenmare. La città è nota per il suo cibo e i pub. Lungo la N71 vedremo la vista mozzafiato chiamata Ladies View (vista delle dame) e potremo visitare un'altra meraviglia conosciuta come la cascata di Torc. Si tratta di una splendida cascata con viste incredibili.
Il tour si conclude a Killarney, dove sarai riaccompagnato al tuo alloggio.

The Ring of Kerry tour takes you through what has to be one of the top items to see on your bucket list. What helped make this even more special was our guide and driver, Billy. He was truly knowledgeable without being preachy and hit that happy balance between talking too much and not saying enough. At the end of the tour, when we asked him to make an adjustment, he did so professionally. This tour will go down as one of my top favorites in the nearly 50 countries I have visited
We switched tours from Ring of Kerry to Dingle Peninsula with Dave as our driver. We had a fantastic time as the scenery was beautiful and Dave was charming and knowledgable.
The best way to see the Ring of Kerry is by car where you can stop at places the buses can't and spend as much time as you want. We had a friendly, very knowledgeable guide with a great sense of humor who tailored the tour to our interests. He has a great interest in pre-historical, historic and contemporary Ireland and never ran out of interesting things to talk about. This was one of the best days of our trip to Ireland. It was definitely worth the cost.
Because we were a group of six our family chose to hire a mini-bus for the day. We were grateful we did. Our driver, David, was helpful in suggesting places to see and was open to our needs. We had a great day and all agreed that we would do it again as there is so much to see and 8 hours isn't enough. David was personable had a good sense of humour and was very knowledgeable. He even knew what music to play when we wanted some quiet time. Five stars out of five for David. Oh yeah and the scenery is spectacular too.
We booked with the Killarney taxi company and were not disappointed. Derek our tour driver/guide was both hilarious and knowledgeable. My wife and I were accompanied by our 20 something sons and all of us had a fantastic experience. He took us to a couple of very special places the large tour buses cant or don't go to. We even had him join us for lunch we liked him so much. The tour was one of the best I have ever been on and this trip it was one of 7 I booked through Viator.
We really learnt more than we would have otherwise. William was able to go to area not possible with larger tours. LOVELY DAY!
