Incontro con la guida presso la stazione Syntagma, dove inizia il tour. All'interno della stazione e nelle immediate vicinanze sono presenti numerosi reperti archeologici tra cui antiche pietre sepolcrali, un acquedotto del V secolo a.C., ceramiche, un alveare risalente a 2.000 anni fa e un antico mosaico.

Dopo aver osservato questi manufatti, la guida presenterà la sede del Parlamento greco, che era originariamente un palazzo. È possibile scattare alcune fotografie all'imponente struttura prima di proseguire il tour a piedi nella zona antica della città. Passeggiando lungo le strade si possono ammirare monumenti storici come il Tempio di Zeus, oltre ad esempi della raffinata architettura ateniese. Si percorre quindi la strada pedonale Dionysiou Areopagitou, che con una tranquilla passeggiata di 10 minuti conduce all'Acropoli di Atene, coronata dal Partenone con le sue spettacolari viste sulla città sottostante. Sulla strada per l'Acropoli si possono inoltre ammirare il Santuario di Dioniso, la collina di Filopappo, l'Odeon di Erode Attico e l'Areopago.

Il tour termina in cima all'Acropoli, dove la guida consiglierà ai partecipanti altri luoghi da visitare in modo autonomo ad Atene.

I am a fan of walking tours. I choose this one because we did not have time for a full day tour, but wanted a guide to help us better understand the Acropolis and a few other smaller locations. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Having them purchase the tickets in advance and then sell them to you at the beginning of the tour was great, because you then do not have to wait in the long ticket lines at the attractions. Even though it was very hot, the guide did a good job of managing the pace, and location of stops to give us shade and a moment to rest as we walked through Athens , and then up the hill to the Acropolis. Very glad we chose this tour.

This was an amazing tour with an extremely passionate and knowledgable guide. We walked a long way, however with lots of stops to marvel at the sights, it didn't seem long or tiring. We learnt such a lot and saw things we definitely wouldn't have seen or known about had we not done this tour. Athens is amazing with incredible history and beautiful people and this was a 'not to be missed' highlight of our time there.
