Inizia la tua giornata con il servizio di prelievo dall'hotel oppure, in alternativa, sali a bordo del pullman con aria condizionata vicino al Palazzo Topkapi, quindi viaggia in direzione sud verso la penisola di Gallipoli nella Turchia europea. Dopo esserti fermato a Tekirgad per sgranchire le gambe e per fare colazione (a tue spese), raggiungi Gallipoli e partecipa al tour dei campi di battaglia della Prima Guerra Mondiale.
Sotto il comando delle forze alleate, gli eserciti di Australia e Nuova Zelanda sbarcarono a Gallipoli nel 1915 con l'obiettivo di invadere e conquistare Costantinopoli, la città oggi conosciuta come Istanbul. Gli Ottomani opposero una fiera resistenza alle truppe e la battaglia si protrasse per più di sei mesi, causando migliaia di morti. Oggi, i campi di Gallipoli fungono da memoriale in ricordo dei moltissimi turchi, australiani e neozelandesi caduti in battaglia.
Visita la Baia dell'ANZAC, dove ebbero luogo alcune delle battaglie più importanti di Gallipoli, e ascolta la storia del giorno in cui le truppe australiane e neozelandesi sbarcarono per la prima volta nella baia. Dopo aver camminato lungo il promontorio, raggiungi Lone Pine per vedere il sito del principale cimitero di guerra australiano. Il luogo prende il nome da un albero di pino solitario che cresceva lì e riporta oggi i nomi di circa 5.000 soldati dispersi che non hanno trovato sepoltura.
Attraversa le vecchie trincee del Nek mentre ascolti la storia delle truppe che attaccarono partendo alla carica dal bosco circostante, quindi visita il Çunuk Bair, uno dei pochi siti che le truppe alleate riuscirono a occupare, anche se per un breve periodo di tempo. Il sito è attualmente uno dei principali memoriali dedicati ai soldati della Nuova Zelanda.
Dopo la sosta per il pranzo nel primo pomeriggio presso un ristorante in città, continua a esplorare gli oggi tranquilli siti commemorativi intorno a Gallipoli. Visita il cimitero di Ari Burnu, dove potrai passeggiare liberamente tra le tombe per porgere omaggio ai 252 soldati sepolti in questo luogo. Attraversa siti come Brighton Beach, il Beach Cemetery e le trincee di Johnson's Jolly per poi salire nuovamente sul pullman e fare ritorno a Istanbul.
La tua gita giornaliera si conclude in prima serata al punto di partenza nel centro di Istanbul.

Our guide was knowledgeable, on time and courteous. Going out of peak period allowed us to be the only people at Anzac Cove. Lunch was included and was good. Only 8 people on the bus of which we were a group of 4

Tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and tour bus was comfortable. Would definitely recommend this day trip to Gallipoli.

We had a fantastic day out visiting Gallipoli and the memorials to the terrible events of 1915. The tour guides were superb and gave us a full and accurate account of the events that took place and they did this in a moving and compassionate manner. They told the story from the Turkish perspective as well as the ANZAC one. Everyone on our party was from Australia or New Zealand apart from us. I have two minor suggestion to make for improving this tour. Firstly we only visited the area where the ANZACS landed and fought. My grandfather landed with the British 29th division further down the coast and i was under the impression that we would visit that as well. When we were looking to book this trip it did not mention this and i think it should be made clearer to people exactly where they were going to visit. The coach trip takes 4 hours both ways and we knew it was going to be a long day. It would have been helpful if you were told this before we booked in the promotion of the tour. Aver moving experience.

Thoroughly enjoyed this tour, a long day, but very informative. Be aware though that it quotes a guide Kick off your small-group tour by meeting your guide and air-conditioned coach transport either at your hotel or near Topkapi Palace. Then, hop aboard for a voyage south along Turkeys European edge to the Gallipoli peninsula. We did not actually get a guide until such time as we arrived in a town called Eceabat. Our driver didn't speak English and about half way stopped the bus and indicated we had a 30 minute break. We were all a bit confused as we drove for approximately 5 hours before actually meeting our guide. This needs to be advised at the time of booking. It would have been better if someone had informed us of this before leaving Istanbul. When we arrived at Eceabat we were taken to a restaurant where we had an adequate lunch before setting off for our tour. Can't fault the guide as he had maps and photos to show as well as giving detailed information of the areas we stopped. We spent about 5 hours touring the cemeteries and WW1 sites, something we have wanted to do for many years. At the end of the tour we transferred to a smaller vehicle for our return to Istanbul. Perhaps it would be an idea to have some audio on the bus to give you an insight into what to expect when you arrive. Otherwise a great experience.
