Lascia Inverness e dirigiti a sud-ovest verso Loch Ness, il leggendario lago di acqua dolce delle Highlands scozzesi. Durante il viaggio in minibus sulla strada che costeggia la riva, la guida esperta ti parlerà del mito di Nessie, il favoloso mostro di Loch Ness. Fermati presso il villaggio di Invermoriston per sgranchirti le gambe e vedere il delizioso Ponte di Thomas Telford.
Continua il viaggio attraverso belle valli, come quelle di Glen Moriston, quindi passa accanto alla catena montuosa delle Cinque Sorelle. Fermati fuori il Castello di Eilean Donan per ammirare le sue incredibili e pittoresche rovine, che si estendono lungo le sponde di tre laghi spettacolari.
Al Kyle of Lochalsh, attraversa il famoso ponte per raggiungere l'isola di Skye. La prima tappa è presso il secondo più grande insediamento dell'isola, Broadford, dove potrai fermarti a pranzare presso un'affascinante locanda (a tue spese). A questo punto inizia il tour di questa splendida isola! Seguendo la strada costiera che porta a Glen Suardal, passerai l'iconica Red Cuillin Hills e godrai di viste mozzafiato sulla bella Bla Bheinn (la montagna di Blaven) dal villaggio di Torrin.
Passeggia con la guida attorno alle rive del Lago Slappin, uno dei laghi più fotografati della Scozia. Mentre cammini in questo luogo pittoresco, la guida ti permetterà di dedicarti a un passatempo locale, il "beachcombing", ossia l'osservazione delle rive alla ricerca di rocce e fossili interessanti. Dopo aver camminato lungo le rive, goditi una passeggiata ripida verso la Penisola di Strathaird, per raggiungere il piccolo villaggio di Egol. Qui potrai trascorrere del tempo libero e ammirare le splendide viste sul mare dall'altro lato di Rum.
Durante il viaggio di ritorno attraverserai la piccola isola di Eilean Ban, che ospita una grande colonia di lontre e una ricca fauna selvatica. Il famoso scrittore britannico Gavin Maxwell ha eletto Eilean Ban come sua casa, e la fauna selvatica locale ha influenzato il suo romanzo best-seller, L'Anello di acque lucenti. Torna a Inverness attraverso il villaggio di Achnasheen e lo scenografico Black Isle, con arrivo in prima serata.

Good tour, altough lots of driving. The views of the Highlands are great Worth going. It would probably be better if we spent more time in the picture spots than in the town for lunch
I was expecting a long tiring day but it wasn't. The guide was very good, had many stops for photo shoots, to stretch a bit or for coffee. The landscape is breathtaking. Definitely worth the visit.
Tour was a bit disappointing. Was expecting to hear more historical facts and see more attractions but we pretty much rode on the bus and saw things from the window. The stops we did make were very rushed and places were crowded with tourists. I wouldn’t take another trip with this touring company.
The day was well planned out and well broken up to maximize the views and experiences. Out tour guide Kevin was excellent! Loved hearing about the history of Scotland and the myths around the areas we visited.
Allan was a great tour guide. Made stops for amazing photo opportunities! Highly recommend this trip.
We had enough luck to enjoy a day with little rain during most of the day. The trip was great and Alan was a great guide giving us perspective about Scotland's history and the main facts about the area and its inhabitants. We stopped in several spots along the way and had lunch at Perth which helped in not making the trip tough to bare. The Isle of Skye is beautiful and worth visit and I definitely recommend this tour and Alan as a guide.
I highly recommend this tour,had a great day seeing some of Scotland’s most breathtaking scenery.Bus was warm and comfortable,Alan our tour guide was amazing and gave us some amazing facts and history of the places we were seeing.Plenty of photo stops and time to explore.A great day out and can not recommend them enough.Will definitely do some more trips with them soon.
Unfortunately, it rained all day and the clouds were on the ground. Couldn't see a thing. The guide/driver was well informed of the area just couldn't see much that he wanted to share.
Went on this tour yesterday and it renewed my faith in coach tours! Having had a bad experience a couple of years ago in Inverness not on a Viator trip I must add this was a far better experience. I was travelling with my elderly mum and we had a brilliant day. Our guide Richard was fantastic. He was very very interesting and funny which made the 10 hour trip fly by. Would certainly recommend this trip and I will most certainly be using again.
