Giorno 1: Hanoi - Baia di Ha Long (L, D)
Dopo il prelievo in hotel nella Città Vecchia di Hanoi, il tuo tour della Baia di Ha Long inizia con 4 ore di viaggio verso Tuan Chau Marina, dove verrai portato alla tua imbarcazione. Goditi un drink di benvenuto a bordo seguito da un briefing; in seguito, siediti a tavola, per un pranzo a base di frutti di mare e cucina vietnamita.
Nel pomeriggio, visita una spiaggia per nuotare nelle acque color smeraldo; potrai anche salire fino alla cima dell'isola per goderti una splendida vista della baia, se lo desideri. Esplora la baia con un tour di 1 ora in kayak o con una barca in bambù. In seguito, torna al battello per rilassarti e gustare le specialità locali di frutta e snack sul ponte.
La cena è servita (vietnamita e pesce alla griglia), seguita da una serata con giochi da tavolo e squid fishing.
Pernottamento: la tua cabina a bordo
2° giorno: grotta di Sung Sot - Baia di Ha Long - Hanoi (B, L)
Svegliati presto e fai una colazione in stile occidentale. Poi dirigiti alla Grotta delle sorprese (Sung Sot), che potrai esplorare con un tour guidato.
Ritorna alla barca per una dimostrazione di cucina vietnamita a bordo prima che il pranzo venga servito. A mezzogiorno, torna al molo di Tuan Chau dove potrai scendere per il viaggio di ritorno ad Hanoi. Arriverai nel tardo pomeriggio e il tour sarà concluso.

Jimmy is amazing, I woke up at 3am to stare into the dark abyss and it was awesome! I loved the boat sounds and the views.

It was OK. To start, communication was bad between us, tour company, and guide. We were clear where they should pick us up yet they couldn't find us. Our guide was hard to understand, impatient, and frustrating. The scdhudule was very rushed and places over touristy.

Good cabin though I wished that they had shower curtains as the whole bathroom became messy after a shower. Good food but bad waiter as we could not tell him what we wanted due to the fact that he did not know English. Good scenery but debris floating in the bay spoils it all. There is therefore much to be improved on but nevertheless a good place to visit.

This was a lovely trip - mostly because of the scenery and the beauty of Halong Bay and the staff on the boat were very friendly and kind. The times we spent on the boat - enjoying the scenery, getting to know fellow travelers, etc were wonderful. The off the boat tours weren't great. The Cave and the swimming beach were so crowded with other tourists from other boats, it made the experience of those aspects not enjoyable. The cave was beautiful and quite spectacular, but way too many people being herded through at once. One the boat, the staff were wonderful, the food was decent. I do think one should not have to pay for water - or have free water at meals...this was a negative aspect. The room was really nice, but smelled like a toilet....so that was not great. I don't know if that is just part of being on the ship, or if that is avoidable and there is something wrong with the plumbing. All in all, a lovely trip despite crowds and smelly rooms.

Me and my partner went on this trip at the beginning of February. Apart from the weather still being a bit chilly we can't fault it. The boat was clean and spacious, the staff were attentive and the activities were exactly what we imagined. The food was exceptional and presented brilliantly, I have never seen cucumber, carrots and spring onions served as a bunch of flowers before. Halong Bay is absolutely beautiful and we would highly recommend this trip.
