We had arranged a three hour tour for 4 people to the Alhambra before visiting Madrid. The local operator was Pancho tours. Our guide was Ani C. The tour exceeded all expectations. Ani was a fabulous guide. She led us at a leisurely 3 hour pace through the Alhambra and the gardens. She explained clearly and answered all questions. We did not feel rushed and had time for a break. This was a fabulous way to visit. At the end we were free to stay and explore some more but we had seen enough. She showed us the quickest way back to the Plaza Nueva as an added bonus. Highly recommend this tour and if possible, ask for Ani

Our guide Pedro was great and Alhambra is a must see. My only criticism is the tour company Pancho Tours didn't tell us what time the tour was. We had to call multiple times not reaching a human until 10am, so it was difficult to plan our day. I thought it might be because they didn't have the tickets yet, and they were buying them early that morning, but I learned they had them days before. A private tour is more expensive, but SO worth not being part of a 30 person horde pushing through the lines and trying to hear the guide. Beautiful and historic castle.

It isn't well worth it to have a guide to tour the Alhambra. Having the private guide made our experience extra nice as we could ask questions and see and hear about everything well without feeling crowded. Antonio navigated us easily everywhere but kept us from crowds at the same time. I don't imagine we could have enjoyed the Alhambra as much on our own. He was easy to understand and very knowledgeable.

We had a private tour with an experienced guide named Daniel and it was first class. There was an initial problem with our tickets not Daniel,s fault and he sorted it out in 5 mins. He is very proud of his city and explained the history of the Alhambra really well The private tour was not cheap but because we tried to book only 3 weeks before our visit all tickets were sold except for a private tour. Despite the cost, it was good value and highly revommended.
