My group ranged in ages from 10 to 60 and we all loved the experience! Our guide was very nice, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone was happy! Would definitely recommend.
We had a great time with Caterina and she was very thorough. Yummy ravioli, outstanding truffle olive oil, and delicious gelato! She shared what real Italians eat and why. Lots of walking so wear your walking shoes!
Geneva was a fantastic guide, we were so lucky to have her to ourselves for a tour of some of the tastiest places in Florence! You eat A LOT, don't eat before hand, you need room for all the incredible food you'll taste! I'd definitely recommend as you get to hear about the history of Florence and eat real, authentic Tuscan food from humble beginnings. It was incredible! Great tour. Great guide. Great experience!
Highly recommend this tour. Martina was a wonderful guide, full of information and passion. Went to places that I would not have known about or thought to go into if I was just passing - and I went back to some of these places after the tour. The day I booked the tour was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances but the communication was quick and clear, and an offer for refund or rescheduling was made. I was lucky that I was in Florence long enough to reschedule and was so glad I did. I ended up having a private tour - the tour went ahead for just me. The tour included hidden gems, amazing tastings and a lesson in history and culture. Would definitely recommend this tour.
Martina was absolutely passionate about showing us the best food Florence has to offer. Not too much walking and we sat down at a quaint typical florentine bistro at the end. Do NOT eat before doing this tour as there is a lot of food to taste. You will taste truffle infused olive oil, 25-year aged balsamic vinegar, grappa and all sorts of meats and pasta. If I were you, i would ask for Martina by name when booking the tour.
This tour was changed to San Lorenzo food tour because the original one didn't have enough participants. We visited the Mercato Centrale with Martina and we tasted all types of food there. Then we continued on in the city to a wine cave for a sausage platter, then to a historical restaurant for the main meal. We tasted two Tuscan soups, tripe, and other Tuscan original dishes. We then tried chocolate and a gelato. I recommend this if you want to taste many Tuscan specialties.
