Il Palazzo degli Uffizi fu commissionato da Cosimo I de' Medici e progettato dal Vasari (XVI secolo). Ha un'inusuale forma di U protesa sull'Arno. Le due ali del palazzo sono collegate da un corridoio con sei grandi finestre ad arco che si affacciano sull'Arno e sul cortile interno. Oggi l'edificio ospita la Galleria degli Uffizi, uno dei musei più visitati al mondo che vanta capolavori dal XIII al XVIII secolo.
La Galleria degli Uffizi nasce come collezione privata di Francesco I de' Medici; la collezione divenne "bene pubblico e inalienabile" grazie alla Duchessa Anna Maria Luisa de' Medici che desiderava fosse aperta al pubblico per sempre. Oggi la Galleria degli Uffizi è uno dei più importanti musei del mondo, con nuove acquisizioni e opere donate. Regole di condotta: nel museo è severamente vietato:
• toccare le opere d'arte
• appoggiarsi contro i piedistalli/basi delle sculture o contro le pareti
• fumare
• sporcare con la gomma da masticare
• consumare cibo e bevande
• sedersi sul pavimento o sulle barriere di sicurezza
• parlare ad alta voce
• comportarsi in modi non adatti alla dignità del luogo
• portare zaini e ombrelli; nei giorni di pioggia si consiglia di usare solo ombrelli portatili di dimensioni ridotte

This is an excellent way to skip the long lines and see the exhibits! You do need to wait until the ticket office opens to get your tickets, but then you go in quickly.

Buying skip the line tickets is definitely worth doing if you don't want to spend a few hours of your day standing in line. However, we did travel at the height of the season, so this might not always be the case. It doesn't mean that there are no queues, just much shorter than the main line! Uffizi gallery is a definite must see when visiting Florence.

Museum is great! Skipping the line is great! Having to print your ticket sent specifically from the museum that gives you a time you don’t select ahead of time is not great.

The pick up location for the tickets is adjacent to the Uffizi so that was convenient. Only negative is that they only allow you to pick up the tickets 30 minutes before your entry time. Would have preferred to pick up our tickets much earlier and come back at our pick up time. As it was, we waited in line to pick up our tickets, then waited again until our entry time in the Gallery line. Would much prefer to have the option of picking up our tickets any time wanted and browsed the area shops instead of waiting for our entry time.

This skip-the-line booking is necessary and reasonable. It worked perfectly. Viator's skip the line vouchers should be used everywhere where there is a line.

I would highly recommend buying a skip the line pass for this place. The general admission line had an hour wait and after walking miles all day, we were very happy to be able to go right in. This place is very beautiful and laid out in a way that allows you see all the major pieces. A great visit!
