Inizia con un'introduzione alla città di Dublino, dopodiché lascia la città alle spalle e dirigiti verso sud in direzione delle montagne di Wicklow. Incontra i tuoi compagni di viaggio per una fantastica escursione nel "Giardino d'Irlanda". Non appena il tour lascia la città, supererai il Sugar Loaf per poi scendere verso Roundwood, il paese più alto d'Irlanda, e quindi verso la magnifica Glendalough.

Rinomata per il suo magnifico paesaggio e il patrimonio ricco e vario in termini di storia e archeologia, Glendalough è famosa anche per le scene di matrimonio del film "Braveheart ed è uno dei più bei siti turistici di tutta l'Irlanda. Avrai un'ora e mezza per esplorare la profonda vallata con le rovine della città monastica in cui vedrai croci celtiche, torri e molto altro. Goditi una piacevole passeggiata lungo la riva del fiume nella "valle dei 2 laghi" attraverso boschi dove si viene accolti dal mormorio dei ruscelli, dal rombo delle cascate e dai laghi di Glendalough. Un momento davvero perfetto per una foto.

Se sei un fan dei film "PS I Love You" e "Braveheart", con questo tour capirai il motivo per cui Mel Gibson ha scelto le montagne di Wicklow per rappresentare le Highlands scozzesi e Glendalough come location della scena del matrimonio. E poi naturalmente ci sono tutte le scene romantiche di "PS I Love You": è qui che Hilary Swank ha incontrato Gerard Butler per la prima volta... Non si sa mai chi puoi incontrare.

Lo stupendo Lough Tay, immerso in una valle tra le montagne di Wicklow, ha una parte che è di proprietà della famiglia Guinness. La sua costa settentrionale è coperta da una striscia di stupenda sabbia bianca. Ironicamente, il contrasto tra la sabbia bianca e la torbosa acqua nera del lago creano un effetto che rimanda all'immagine di una bella pinta di cremosa Guinness.

Il ritorno a Dublino avviene attraverso il Sally Gap, dove potrai scattare bellissime foto che ti rimarranno come ricordo per tutta la vita.

I had taken a similar tour with a different company and booked this one since I was back and it was my sister's first time in Ireland. I had promised her the "P.S. I Love You Bridge" and sadly this tour didn't stop there. Also, we asked about the yellow bushes and the driver didn't know anything about them. We later learned that the bushes (gorse or furze) are part of Irish folklore. Would have been a great addition if he had known and mentioned them.

It was dreary which didn't help but no rain. Thought we would have more time in Wicklow. Fascinating history at Glendalough and hotel has delicious scone. Nice little gift shop

We loved our guide! I’m so sad I forgot his name, but he was so kind and thoughtful. He’d share historical facts then muse some on what’s yet to be uncovered...very sweet man. He went out of his way to be helpful with directions and times, etc. Breath-taking scenery!!!! A refreshing and peaceful excursion from the city—but back in time for lunch and more fun! A great way to spend the morning.

Tour was well organised and it’s highly recommended for all those who wants to experience ireland countryside. Weather was lovely and sunny, and it made the whole trip much better! The wagon that picked us up was different than the one we were waiting for..... but I’ve got a call from the tour operator when the driver couldn’t find us, so all went well in the end. The driver was friendly and gave us a commentary on our way to Glendelough, so we could learn more about Ireland!

This tour is a must! You find out the Irish countryside in a comfortable way. Our guide Patrick and driver Aaron were very friendly! Wicklow mountains and Glendalough lakes were amazing

This was a great tour, the highlight of our trip to Dublin. The scenery was absolutely stunning, Glendalough was an amazing place. The travelling time was fairly short and we were given a reasonable time to walk around the lakes and ancient buildings. The driver was professional, friendly, gave us lots of information about the area and it's history and culture and couldn't do enough for the passengers. This was the second Paddywagon tour I have been on in Ireland and both have been outstanding.
