Tour in barca a vela da Catania

A fantastic, relaxing trip. We had booked the tour for the day before we went, but due to rain being forecast, and it certainly rained, Bruno, our captain, got in tyouch and suggested we took the trip the next day. We were so pleased as we did not want to miss it. The weather was perfect. After we sailed for a bit, enjoying the wonderful coast line we could jump in the warm sea and swim. My granddaughter loved it and sent quite a time in the sea. I hung on to the side as I'm not a confident swimmer but Bruno was very patient with me. My partner watched and took photographs. Bruno was excellent at giving us information about the coastline and it's history, answering all our questions. Lunch was homemade and delicious, served with wine or beer. We never made it to shore as it was quite windy, so sailed slowly back to Catania. All in all a perfect day.

Our skipper Bruno was fantastic and spoke English. Great knowledge and took us to several parts of the island. Had opportunty to snorkle/swim before having the best fresh Sicilian meal that you could get in any restaurant, prepared by Bruno. Great way to see parts of the island. A perfect day

Unbelievable experience around some of the most spectacular scenery on Earth! The skipper Bruno - one of the most experienced skippers on the planet after having sailed in all sorts of exotic locations throughout the world - took great care to ensure my wife and I had the time of our lives as we sailed around Mt. Etna, Aci Castello, and the legendary Islands of the Cyclops. A native Sicilian, Bruno's English was better than that of many Americans. His sense of humor, knowledge of the area, and stories of the sea made the trip an absolute joy from start to finish. And what a cook! Prior to the trip, he carefully hand-selected the high-quality ingredients at a local farmer's market for our authentic Sicilian lunch on board, which in and of itself was an epic experience. We cannot recommend this experience enough. Thank you, Bruno! We hope to do it again soon!

Was looking forward to this trip but it was very rocky and the captain did not speak english so it was awkward and did not learn anything about the area. disappointed that it was not a better experience

I booked this trip in the hope it would be a relaxing day on the water, hence giving my parents a rest from the busy week's schedule. I took a punt, as there was only one review but it was very positive and with my previous experiences through Viator I have not yet been disappointed, so I felt confident. Definitely not disappointed. We all said it was a seamless day from start to end. The service was very personable, and with it just being the 3 of us we felt it was super intimate, which is what we'd hoped. Bruno owner of the boat was a try gent and superb host. He was so knowledgable in worldwide topics and very passionate about all things Sicilian - its great to see such enthusiastic patriotism. We learned alot more about Sicilian life, culture, economy etc etc He gave us a great local insight. When he noticed we were interested in how a boat sails, he was keen to share his expertise with us which was a real delight. So we learned a little about sailing too! We had a beautifully prepared lunch by Bruno - it was so delicious not to have seconds! There was plenty to go round... And the fresh fruits were sumptuous. The wines were excellent. Bruno takes alot of pride in what he presents to his guests and that is a very considerate touch to make the experience so special. We were lucky with the weather - it was glorious. To be honest, I think we could have stayed on board for another couple of hours easily. You can swim remember to pack swimsuits - you can change below deck the waters are amazing!, sleep, read a book, talk, enjoy the drinks etc etc - it's up to you as to what you want to get out of the day. The boat is comfortable and clean. It was the right size for for 3 of us plus Bruno. That way if we wanted to spread out and lie down we had good space. It was the perfect day out on the boat. As I said, from start to finish it was a superb experience and Bruno is the most wonderful man to have made it all happen. Thank you Bruno and Viator! Highly recommend

Everything went smoothly from pick up to drop off. The boat was clean, well maintained and quite comfortable. The was one snorkle mask to be used which had to be shared which was not an idwal situation. The lunch was superb and more that we could finnish. The scenery along the coast and the swimming from the stern of the boat was fun. All and all a worthwhile way to spend a relaxing day
