L'altopiano di Giza è a circa 30 minuti dal Cairo; qui la tua guida, un egittologo qualificato, ti fornirà un'affascinante introduzione a ognuna delle tre piramidi: Cheope, Chefren e Micerino. Avrai del tempo libero per entrare in una delle piramidi, anche se la guida non può entrare, o per fare un giro a dorso di cammello (entrambe le opzioni a un costo aggiuntivo).
Dopo aver visitato le piramidi, potrai quindi continuare attraversando l'altopiano per scattare delle foto delle tre piramidi che si innalzano dalla sabbia, con lo skyline del Cairo sullo sfondo. A breve distanza in auto dal lato dell'altopiano verso la città ti troverai ai piedi della Sfinge, per migliaia di anni il simbolo enigmatico dell'Egitto. Sempre a Giza potrai visitare il Museo della barca solare (facoltativo), che ospita l'arca funeraria molto ben conservata di Khufu.
La tappa successiva è Saqqara, sede della piramide più antica dell'Egitto, costruita nel 2.650 a.C. La guida ti illustrerà brevemente la storia della famosa piramide a gradoni e ti lascerà un po' di tempo libero per esplorare la zona.
L'ultima tappa è Menfi, l'antica capitale dell'Egitto. Qui vedrai i manufatti di molti grandi regnanti egizi, tra cui la grande statua coricata di Ramsete II. Inoltre avrai la possibilità di visitare un Istituto del papiro per vedere come viene realizzata questa famosa opera d'arte.

Our tour guide gave us a great day in Cairo seeing so many impressive and significant sites. We enjoyed his knowledge and passion for Egypt. I would recommend him for future visits.

This was the highlight of our tour and that's also because of our guide - Ahmed. He was an absolute delight, incredibly chatty and knowledgable and so eager to give us information about Egypt and the sights we saw. He talked to us about the history of Egypt as well as Egyptian life in the 21st century. He was happy to chat to us about anything! We also had additional stops on the tour including a camel ride in Giza to see the 9 pyramids, a visit to an Egyptian Cotton shop, the papryus institute and a visit to a carpet/rug making shop. The pyramids and Sphinx in Giza is mindblowing, the statue of Ramesis was also very impressive. The 1st pyramid in Sakkara was very interesting. Our driver was great too - the traffic in Giza/Cairo is chaotic and manic so it was nice to be driven around by an expert haha We didn't eat in a restaurant as Ahmed wanted to cram as much into the day as possible so we picked up falafal and the most amazing authentic chicken Shawarma to eat while we drove to our next destination. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough!

THe guide skipped the Boat museum and had me pay for my own lunch, then led me into a high pressure sales pitch from a perfume seller on the way back to hotel. Egypt is full on con artist and pushy street peddlers. They extend to the local tour companies as well. BEWARE

This tour was amazing I would highly recommend it there are so many incredible sights to see included in this! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and helpful, he knew the best spots for photos and took so many great shots for us. We really enjoyed our day.

Starts early and ends early giving you time to rest or do other things. You get to see everything you want to see in the Cairo area. Perhaps adding on the museum would be a nice touch? Both the driver and guide both named Ahmet were excellent and knowledgable.

Fantastic tour. Our guide, Emmy Eman was so lovely, knowledgeable and caring. She ensured we got to see everything we wanted to. Also our driver was protective of us, particularly the kids, ensuring they were safe as we were crossing roads. The Sekkara pyramid was a highlight, particularly going inside, while the camel ride to see the view of the 9 pyramids was fantastic although this was an extra cost. Great day, worth every cent and fantastic experience.

This was an excellent pick for us. Such great higtory! Our Guide Tariq and driver Ahmed were both very helpful. Tariq had all the information about every place we visited and is very knowledgeable. Kids loved this one! Definitely recommended. Mustafa.
