Inizia la tua esperienza con un prelievo presso il tuo hotel nel centro di Budapest e goditi il panorama mentre viaggi nella campagna incontaminata dell'Ungheria.
Dopo un percorso di circa 30 minuti, arrivi al palazzo Gödöllo in elegante stile barocco, in passato residenza estiva della Regina Elisabetta, meglio conosciuta come Sissi, e di Francesco Giuseppe I, imperatore asburgico e re d'Ungheria dal 1848 al 1916. Circondato da magnifici giardini, il palazzo del XVIII secolo venne presentato come regalo alla coppia reale venuta qui per rilassarsi e dedicarsi alla caccia.
Esplora i giardini simili a un parco e poi dirigerti all'interno con la tua guida. Ammira il Grande Salone risplendente in oro e bianco, l'Orangerie decorata e visita la suite privata di Sissi, ancora dipinto nel suo colore preferito, il viola. La guida farà rivivere tutto mentre cammini, con storie degli amanti segreti della coppia, porte nascoste e la passione dell'Imperatrice per i viaggi e le passeggiate a cavallo.
Quindi, continua attraverso la pittoresca campagna in una fattoria ungherese tradizionale. Quando si arriva, sorseggia un bicchiere della bevanda nazionale dell'Ungheria, la pálinka (acquavite di prugne) e assaggia alcuni pogácsa, le adorate focaccine salate ungheresi. Quindi, sali su una tradizionale carrozza trainata da cavalli per un giro attorno ai sentieri della fattoria e sui campi ondeggianti.
Successivamente, guarda uno spettacolo equestre con i fantini dai vestiti tradizionali ed esibizioni di ogni genere, dalle gare in carrozza ai giochi con le fruste e le spericolate abilità equestri.
Quando arriva il momento, fai ritorno a Budapest, dove la tua esperienza termina con un rientro nel centro della città.

It was nice trip complemented by good wheather at the form. We really enjoyed horse show which was excellent. Our guide was very good.

QUIDE WAS A PALACE WAS BEAUTIFUL. WE LOVED THE HORSE FARM! PROPERTY IS BEAUTIFUL, SHOW GREAT CARRAIGE RIDE FUN. MORE FUN AND BETTER THEN I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE. GREAT VALUE FOR THE MONEY. WE LOVED OUR GUIDE

What a very pleasant way to spend 5/6 hours in Budapest. I thoroughly enjoyed this outing. I was collected by a taxi at my hotel and driven in to town to meet our guide for the day. There was only two of us on this trip. Myself and another young lady named Megan from the USA. Our guide/driver was Marta and she was wonderful. She was such a nice, kind lady. Her knowledge of local history and storytelling was wonderful. The tour of the Palace was interesting and very informative. We had time to sit enjoy a cuppa and a slice of traditional cake which was yummy! Onward to the Horse Show. This was again great to see. The horsemanship and show was magnificent. We also got to taste a local drink down the hatch in one!!... and a traditional savoury scone. We then toured the stables and a museum. Marta then, very kindly dropped us off wherever we wanted. I would highly recommend this tour.

After several phone calls thanks to the concierge at the Marriott Hotel and when they rang the local number, as provided on the documentation, they were given another number to ring etc, once over that problem transport did arrive at the hotel and eventually we left on the tour. The tour guide took us through Godollo Palace but it was rushed at the end due to time constraints. The traditional Farm Trip with Horse Show and Carriage was entertaining. The documentation stated that we would be dropped back to our hotel but this was not the case and we were dropped back in the middle of the city centre and left to find our own way back to our hotel.

This was a great trip and our guide was very informative. I'm so glad I went. I loved learning about Queen Elizabeth's time spent at Godollo Palace. The Horse Farm was beautiful, they greeted us with Palinka and scones, gave us a carriage ride around the farm and then a horse show demonstrating skills Hungarians are known for. It was a nice retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. I just wish it had been a bit longer. We arrived back in Budapest around 2:00pm and had to figure out what to do from there. Also, the tour company leaves you off in central Budapest vs. taking you back to your hotel where they picked you up, so you have to figure out how to get back on your own.
