One Day Wine Tasting Tour

Meet your chauffeur at hotel and depart for Prahova Valley. Car city tour of Bucharest on your way to Sinaia.

First stop is at the Sinaia Monastery built by Prince Mihail Cantacuzino after a visit to Mount Sinai. The architecture of this monastery is similar with that of St. Catherine’s Monastery, located on Mount Sinai. We have to mention that it was the first building in this part of the Carpathian Mountains, and giving this way name of the resort.

We continue the trip with the visit of the wonderful Peles Castle, built by the first representative of the Romanian monarchy – Carol I, member of the family of Hohenzollern of Zigmaringen of Germany.

After visiting Peles we take a short break for lunch at a traditional restaurant in Sinaia.

After lunch we continue our way to La Certa Winery. You will also have the opportunity to see the way the wines are made, to taste them and to buy the perfect wine.

LacertA’s wine assortments, winners of numerous gold medals at speciality contests, are now housed within a new, modern cellar. The Tirolean Architects V. Miklautz and M. Gaertner created with this building a unique architectural experience, which advances to a landmark of the whole region.

Wines made along the 45th parallel which positions the Dealu Mare vine estate at the same level with the Bordeaux, Saint-Emilion, Piemont as well as the Toscana vineyards, are prestigious for their rich, complex and silken taste.

The wines are kept in strictly-controlled environments, as in our state-of-the-art winery, completed in 2011. The wines are exclusively maturated in barrique barrels of high quality oak from France, USA, Russia, Hungary and Romania.

LacertA cultivates 6 varieties of red wine and 6 varieties of white wine.

The assortment is made of international varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Pinot Noir, Merlot,Blaufraenkisch, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Rheinriesling, Muscat Ottonel and Chardonnay, as well as the great Romanian varieties Feteasca Neagra and Feteasca Alba.
