Goditi una giornata lontano dal traffico di Bogotà esplorando la prima meraviglia della Colombia e scoprendo la storia della leggenda di "El Dorado".
Dalla tua sistemazione, raggiungerai in un'ora Zipaquirá, sede della leggendaria cattedrale di sale.
Arrivato a Zipaquirá, inizia la tua avventura sotterranea. Scopri le meraviglie architettoniche realizzate da Roswell Garavito Pearl, architetto di Bogotà, e la storia dell'estrazione di sale in Colombia, con il tour guidato in inglese o spagnolo condotto da una guida esperta all'interno della cattedrale di sale di Zipaquirá.
Ritornato in superficie, potrai gustare un tipico pasto colombiano in uno dei migliori ristoranti di Zipaquirá. Assaggia un tradizionale piatto di carne o scegli l'opzione vegetariana.
Dopo pranzo visiterai Plaza de la Independencia, la piazza principale di Zipaquirá, con le sue bellissime case coloniali e la sua chiesa antica e potrai scattare foto panoramiche della città. Dopo questo breve tour, raggiungerai il lago Guatavita.
Durante la breve escursione guidata in inglese o spagnolo di circa un'ora e mezza, condotta da una guida locale della riserva, potrai ammirare lo splendido paesaggio e scoprire il luogo in cui è nata la leggenda di El Dorado, imparando il significato della laguna per gli indiani Muisca e la sua storia.
Dopo aver visitato la laguna, ti dirigerai verso la bianca città coloniale di Guatavitá.

Started my Colombia adventures with this magnificent excursion to the Salt Cathedral. It is not to be missed. Really a fabulous experience. Local lunch was good and gave you a feel for how the locals eat. And the hike up to the Lagoon will help you get rid of those calories that you consume while on vacation.

stunning day out. The walk up to the lake top was worth it as the lake looked amazing. The salt Cathedral was spectacular. the guide made the day and even helped make the Bogota traffic jams fly by. she was very knowledgeable and managed to answer most of my questions. If your in Bogota and can find a spare day do this tour

The tour to these sites was excellent! Booking online was easy. The local guide and driver arrived at my hotel on time to pick me up and take me out to the sites. The guide had great English and was very knowledgeable about the local area, the sites, the county and any other questions I could throw at her. She organized the logistics and local tours very well so there was no downtime waiting for certain tours etc to begin. I could not fault anything in regards to this tour and would highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in seeing some cool places outside of Bogota. It's a big day, but certainly worth cramming in both sites in the one day to maximize the travel time.

Andrea the guide was AMAZING! I don't give 5 stars easily, but she was just epic! And Andreas the driver was great also. It was a long day, and traffic home was congested, but not even that could deter from the day. The Salt Cathedral was so lovely - and the walk to see Lake Guatavita while more than I anticipated was still quite comfortable and well worth it. Because it wasn't raining in the morning we visited the lake first, which was good. Andrea gave me enough time to look around the other towns, and helped me get a few extra things. Definitely recommend this trip!!!

The trip was a wonderful way to spend our last day in Bogota. Our guide, Paola, was friendly and very informative. The lake was beautiful and customs and history of the indigenous people interesting. The salt cathedral was much more impressive than expected. Highly recommended.
