Il tour partirà da Belfast per un viaggio che ricorderai per tutta la vita, ammirando la spettacolare bellezza naturale, che è la strada costiera di Antrim.
Poco dopo la partenza la nostra prima sosta sarà al castello di Carrickfergus. Questo castello normanno del XII secolo, è uno dei castelli medievali meglio conservati in Irlanda. Assediato dagli scozzesi, irlandesi e francesi, il castello è ricco di storia ed è il luogo in cui il Re Guglielmo III mise piede per l prima volta in Irlanda nel 1690. Poi percorreremo l'intera strada costiera di Antrim e potrai ammirare il panorama mozzafiato delle Valli di Antrim, avrai anche a disposizione un po' di tempo per goderti le perle e il fascino idillico delle pittoresche cittadine e dei villaggi che attraverseremo, tra cui i seguenti: Glenarm, Carnlough, Cushendall e Ballycastle, sede dell'unica fiera antica risalente a 400 anni fa "Oul Lammas Fiera".
La tappa successiva sarà presso il ponte sospeso a corda Carrick-a-Rede con una sospensione che sfida la morte alta 30 metri sulle onde che si infrangono sulle scogliere e con vedute sull'isola di Rathlin e sulle coste scozzesi del Mull of Kintyre (attraversalo a tuo rischio e pericolo, condizioni metereologiche permettendo, a tue spese) 1km a piedi.
Ci recheremo poi per una breve visita a Ballintoy e a Giants Causeway, il Selciato del Gigante. Ci sarà poi una sosta per il pranzo al Giant's Barn per 30 minuti (a proprie spese). Organizzati e portati dietro il tuo pranzo. Visiteremo quindi l'attrazione principale della giornata la leggendaria meraviglia il "Giants Causeway". Il Selciato del Gigante è un sito patrimonio dell'umanità dell'UNESCO e uno dei fenomeni geologici da vedere almeno una volta nella vita, infatti viene spesso definita l'ottava meraviglia del mondo. Segui le orme dei giganti del folclore irlandese, Finn MacCool e Benandonner e cammina tra le pietra a forma esagonale (che si stima che risalgano incredibilmente a 62-65 milioni di anni fa) mentre ti godi anche le suggestive e maestose vedute. Riesci ad avvistare anche Giants Chair, o Giants Organ, opere scolpite nelle rocce di basalto? È possibile scegliere quale percorso di intraprendere per visitare il Selciato, se non vuoi camminare puoi utilizzare il servizio navetta (piccolo supplemento).
Dopo il Selciato visiterai il "The Dark Hedges" che appare nella serie televisiva Trono di Spade: "Kings Road".
Torneremo poi verso l'entroterra per rientrare a Belfast tra le 18:30 e le 19:30 a seconda della stagione. Se hai un volo dall'aeroporto internazionale, possiamo organizzare il viaggio in taxi verso l'aeroporto prima del nostro arrivo a Belfast.

Great way to see beautiful views and land marks. The coach we had was a large double style with the accordion thing joining it. Because it was such a large group it slowed things down even for what should have been just a quick toilet stop,and a couple were half hour late getting back and were almost left behind. Very inconsiderate for the others on the hot bus waiting for them. I hope they read this! The driver was very good, its the only tour that includes dark hedges with giants causeway and the rope bridge. Long tour but good. I wish it was a regular size coach so group not so big,and windows although large I found it obstructed view somehow,maybe the luggage overhang? Not sure but I have done other tours and this particular coach blocked view nd glass had an annoying mottled reflection on the windows too, when driver was pointing things out unless you could see out of front window screen, could not really see what he was talking about. Also we booked our hotel close to where we needed to meet for tour,it said no hotel pickups. When tour started,there were indeed hotel pickups and front row reserved seating for them. How special are they.....I was not very pleased to see not only were they picked up but had the best seats on the bus SAVED just for them so they DID get to see all the nice views that we couldnt because of the stupid design of the coach windows. Driver,and tour were good,the particular coach used...thumbs down
This tour was amazing!
This isn't the type of tour where the guide talks your ears off or blasts music the whole ride. He gives just the right amount of information when an interesting site is passed, and is more than happy to answer any questions you have. I am very pleased with the tour, it stops for just the right amount of time at each place. If there has to be a critique, it'd be that the bus windows were dusty, making it hard to take good pictures. Overall, a good tour for an affordable price, I recommend.
Great tour
We loved this tour! So many great places to visit and lots of stops. It was perfect for our family. The only negative thing about this tour was the bus. It was an old city bus and therefore did not offer up very good views. There were 4 seats on the bus that didn't even have access to windows.
We really enjoyed this full day tour to the giants causeway. Our driver Phil was very efficient and knowledgeable keeping us on time and informed. The timing of stops was a little unbalanced with lunch not available until nearly 3.00 pm at a cafe obviously used to catering for timed coach parties and only offering full meals or cakes. Bring your own sandwiches if you want to eat earlier or are on a budget. We took the option to cross the Carrick a Reid rope bridge, but if you are not going to do this there is little to do at this stop. Phil's tip that you don't need to pay at the giants causeway visitor centre to access the site was a good one as it is not obvious. The causeway itself was as good as it looks in photos and is well worth a visit.
